Default Interpretation asked: The ballroom

This is a dream I have had a long time since, and ever since I had this dream I have felt weak and ill at ease, as if dreaming this made me lose a piece of myself, or blocked myself from feeling free.

As a background, I am now 28 years old. When I dreamt this, I was about eight. I have had the dream only once, and it seemed at the time just one dream among nightmares I had. But ever since, I have had the feeling that this dream was important.

It goes as follows:

I stand in a large ballroom, red carpet on the floor. Tables are arranged with white cloth and stacked with crystal and silverware. Although it is a room, it feels as if it stretches forever, and I clench the hand of my mother by my side. I know that I am dressed in formal clothing, full of frills, black in color. My mother wears a dress, but I cannot remember the color it had.
I know I am smaller than my mother, reaching to her waist.

Above the tables are chandeliers, large crystal chandeliers spreading a subdued yellow light. The room seems bright.

Then, I notice a creature sitting on the chandelier; it is small and deformed. It is ugly and dark. It is looking down in the room, and looking at the people, as if observing them.

As its gaze travels, it falls on me, and it notices I can see it. Instinctively, I point at the creature and say "Mommy, there's a creature on the chandelier".
As I say this, the creature opens its eyes real wide and screams loudly, an animal-like scream.

This ends the dream, as I wake up startled.

What is your interpretation?

Hi,
Dreams of immatured children is about their parents, girls is about their mother.
A ball and dance means a sorrow.
A carpet in somewhere except the home means a travel at that time.

If one dreamt a lighted chandelier means he will have a success to worshipping God.
If dreamt there was a lighted luster hanging in his house or his office means he will marry an honest pious woman/man.
If a married person dreamt as above means he will succeed to prayers************.
Lighted chandelier may also mean:1- marriage 2- success to prayer 3- dignity 4- opening in the affairs.

Yellow light ; praying to God

A devil malformed demon like means a liar deceiver person , or even a demon who was disturbed by praying.

Default Your dream

"If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. "
-Annonymous

I think this dream was trying to tell you something about being wealthy. Everything about the place seemed beautiful, but something was amiss. There are good and bad rich people, like the poor...somehow your subconscious keyed onto the fact that money cannot buy happiness. The strange creature hanging from the chandelier was probably a gargoyle. It seemed like something about this entity hovering from above frightened you and you realized that you wanted out.

You will probably be middle-class, which isn't all bad. At least you know the trails and tribulations of what the upper class may really think, beyond the facade. I actually visited a mansion once, for a Haunted House tour and she had a gargoyle statue placed at one of the fountains...I appreciate hearing about your dream. It was definitely revealing and intelligent.
