I Keep Having A Recurring Dream That I Am Driving. One Dream I Am Driving On A Rocky Road, Another I Am Driving Across A Bridge, Another I Am Driving Back Roads But They All End In My Tahoe Being Driven Into Water. It Slowly Sinks And I Am Not Scared But More Upset About My Car And What My Parents Wil Say. I Always Get Out Of The Car Just Fine And I Always Grab My Phone And My Purse And End Up On Land. Then I Watch My Car Sink Into Water. Then I Wake Up.
I Have Read That Driving Symbolizes Your Life's Path And What The Road Looks Like Symbolizes Your Emotions And Subconscious Feelings, I Also Know That Drowning Symbolizes A Feeling Of Being Overwhelmed And Out Of Control. Although I Can Put This All Together The Fact Of The Matter Is I Am Never Drowning Just Watching My Car Sink. Can Anyone Help Me Interpret This Or Give Me A Good Website That Possibly Could??! Thanks |

Since it is your real life vehicle, this dream concerns something having to do with your association with that vehicle.
Perhaps the cost to operate it is overwhelming? You are right about everything that you have said. As you encounter situations in life your subconscious mind uses the real life car as a barometer (showing that in your waking life you feel this way or encounter that). The rocky road is just that...rough times. The bridge is a transition to a new way or new chapter in a matter that concerns you....a new job, a new way of thinking, some kind of transition etc. sailrmc |

Hi,
Your car sinking into the water means you will receive some power and dignity at work. Good luck.

You should sell your car. Never drive when you are tired...and keep a close eye on your speed. I think this is a dream that will keep you on your guard. Trust your instincts. If you don't want to sell it or cannot, take the car to a shop and make sure your brakes are in order. Be careful.
I once had a dream that my mom's car crashed and told her to take it to the shop. Lo and behold, it needed repair. The best thing is to go with your hunches. |

Courtney....
I am going to go in a slightly different direction then Sailrmc on this one (Which is amazing because I believe we generally see things similiarly). Yes....traveling in a car and the road you are on does indicate your path. The car sinking in the water and you being okay...I would interpret it as you becoming more independent and less bothered by what others (especially your parents) say about you and less controlled by the plans others have for you. It is almost like you are shedding your outer self...that self which chose for so many years to please others. You long for freedom and to make your own choices without judgement. If I am interpreting this correctly....just be careful how you present this new found self to others. Although tempting to just get angry and distance yourself from those who you feel have such "different" expectations of you...it will only cause you more guilt in the long run. Establish appropriate boundaries without anger or fear. That doesn't mean that those who have a hold on you will not be upset that you are starting to make your own decisions...but it will ease your mind about establishing these boundaries. Hope this helps. Be well. |
