When I was 6 I had the strangest dream that I woke up crying from.
The dream began with my mother taking me to the circus. In the dream if parents didn't keep their children happy the trolls would come and take them away. So my mom took me to the circus. I became board with it and sneaked away. I was playing with a young girl behind a refrigerator (I don't know lol). Then when I went back to get my mom, she was gone. All that was left was her purse with a note on it. Well I couldn't read, so I left the circus and went to find someone to read it to me. The whole thing was very "Alice in Wonderland" like with me and my friend (who couldn't read the letter either) shrinking. To all the girls in the neighborhood laughing at me because I couldn't read. When the lady across the street read the note and told me that my mother was taken to the scary mansion behind my house to stay with them forever because she didn't keep me happy, I knew I had to go get her. Now, there really was a mansion behind my house. There was my house then our orchard then this old mansion that was turned into a Mason Hall. Anyway in the dream I was scared but I loved my mom and wanted her back. So off I went, by myself to this scary mansion. I got in through the back and entered a very long and narrow kitchen. I walked through the kitchen to a hall that joined a number of rooms together. I walked through one of the rooms and found myself in the foyer. There in the foyer where stairs that led up stairs. I went up the stairs and turned left to face another hallway. I walked to the end of that hallway and entered the room to my left which faced the street outside. In this room I became very scared because in the center of this huge room was a long table with chairs and in the center of the table there was a knife with blood that was sticking up from it. Being scared I ran to a window that had a balcony. On this balcony where fire escape stairs and I ran down them to took off for home crying. Thats when I woke up with tears on my pillow. Being only six I ran down stairs and found my mother in the kitchen having coffee. She asked me what was wrong, and I just told her I had a bad dream. She took me in her arms and told me it would be ok. Years later I told her about the dream. She looked at me surprised and told me when she was a teen she was a wild child, and was sent to a girls home for awhile. The girls home was the old creepy mansion behind our house and her room was the last room on the left facing the street. When she was there that room did have a fire escape which was taken off when it became the Masons Hall. I never saw that place with a fire escape. I still don't know what to make of it. What do you all think? Am I just reading into things? |

I often dream that I'm my mother...this happens to me all the time. I also dream about people I know and become them if just for the dream. I think this dream was telling you that your mom had a difficult time growing up. When you realized it was a predilection, when your mom said it was true, I think this hinted to you that dreams are often psychic talents not expressed in your waking life.
It is like you and your mom have an ESP connection with her as the sender and you as the receiver. It is amazing that you share that, as I do with close loved ones. All I can say is that you should believe in your dreams. If your gut instincts are saying something's not right with that mansion then go there and overcome your fear of the place, with or without your mom. You need to allow the anxiety that your mom fears to be expelled through you. Act as a mediator and visit the place and ask if you can walk around for a few minutes. Chances are the place has changed but you know the real story now, as you always have. Thanks for sharing and I hope I can hear more of your dreams...so fascinating! ![]() |
