An old dream that stays with me

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I had this particular dream only once, but have had 2 similar ones since - the first was the most powerful and clear...really would like to know what some opinions are. I dreamed that I was in a large urban area on a rooftop; there was a huge blinding flash and suddenly I was on a beach - everything was blackened and burnt - I was fine, no fear, no pain, just looking around. The sky was very dark and I looked toward the water - people were standing in the water waist deep - they were crying and moaning and frightened. I understood that they thought that being in the water would save them, I even saw an aunt of mine, by marriage, clutching her young daughter (in reality the daughter was almost 20, no longer a child - also this aunt and my uncle had been divorced for many years - he is an avowed agnostic, she a lapsed Catholic) I hurt for everyone in the water, but didn't know how to help them...again, there was no pain or fear on my part, I seemed to be there just as an observer. Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions on what this dream was about? I think it was in 2000 - not sure about the timeline, but was definitely before my yougest daughter was born in January 2001.

I had this particular dream only once, but have had 2 similar ones since - the first was the most powerful and clear...really would like to know what some opinions are. I dreamed that I was in a large urban area on a rooftop; The urban rooftop symbolizes that this dream comes to you courtesy of your higher self (subconscious mind) and perhaps even higher...so to speak. there was a huge blinding flashThis type of flash often occurs just before a significant bit of information is to be conveyed in dreams. Many times the awareness to come of of the spiritual nature. and suddenly I was on a beach - everything The significance of the beach is considered to be a scene (in a dream) where, the topic of awareness to be brought out in the dream, wash up.was blackened and burnt - I was fine, no fear, no pain, just looking around. The sky was very dark and I looked toward the water - people were standing in the water waist deep - they were crying and moaning and frightened. Things in your midst were not necessarily going smoothly at the time of the dream, but the negative matters or issues did not directly affect you. I understood that they thought that being in the water would save them, I even saw an aunt of mine, by marriage, clutching her young daughter (in reality the daughter was almost 20, no longer a child - also this aunt and my uncle had been divorced for many years - he is an avowed agnostic, she a lapsed Catholic) I hurt for everyone in the water,This awareness, is significant as far as your dream is concerned, (likely that people around you...their lives were not going well. While you remained in tact they were not doing so well. An awareness dream of compassion, yet the thought that they perhaps were i some way responsible for their own actions. but didn't know how to help them...again, there was no pain or fear on my part, I seemed to be there just as an observer. Yes, you were separate and your dreaming mind was likely letting you know that, we are each responsible for our own circumstances in our lives (if not responsible at for the circumstances, at least we are charged with making our own path finding a way out of the fire so to speak. Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions on what this dream was about? I think it was in 2000 - not sure about the timeline, but was definitely before my yougest daughter was born in January 2001.
Dreams are ways that we may be made aware, of those things that we may not give much thought about in waking life.

Hi,
The dream indicates some problem in sleep. My guess is that it was a problem with your waterworks! You emphasisize that you felt no pain! However you felt sympathy for the people in the woter.
In dreams the subconscious mind often projects ones own problems onto an object ot onto other people.
Your problem could have been losing some fluid during sleep. Although it may not have shown, in sleep the subconscious mind perceives even a few drops of sweat or blod trickling.
Cheers Wolfjk
