strange dream

I was at a big hotel and there was a church gathered in a conference room all just hanging out like having refreshments after church. It was sort of a basement with probably secure hollow brick walls. I think I has been just talking outside of room by the door to an acquaintence but now a man about in late thirties, very nice came out from the room and said to me as if he thought i was a good and decent and apparently responsible person " Here's how you lock the door with the chain in case a hurricane comes" apparantly the lock used a word instead of a number because he continued very practically without perceiving any meaning into it "The word is (for the lock) not 'despise' but 'demise'." Then apparantly preoccupied before I could object he walked off. Now I'm thinking I sure wouldn't want to be locked in a basement type space from the outside in case a tital wave somehow came through and got in because then I wouldn't be able to get out! and i'm definately not hanging out here until this gathering is over to let them all out. (I live in hawaii by the ocean) The thing I don't remember is if he had definately locked the door or had just showed me how to do it like i was just suppossed to be on watch.
