the dream i had before the death of a friend

my friend of 10 years died about 7 months ago due to natural causes. I had a dream the night before he died that has left me puzzled though...i didnt know if it was a sign of some sort or had any signifigance to his death...i remember that he was outside of my house looking in the window with a knife and i tried to hide then began to plea with him and question his motive from insided my house. I began plea with him but he didnt say a word as to why he was doing this. He began banging on the door trying to break it down and get into my house. I thought he wanted to hurt me so i resisted and tried to hold the door closed. Finally after much struggle he walked into my house calmly. I tried to hold his arms pleaing for him to stop until he finally smiled and told me he didnt want to hurt me, it was all a mistake or joke. The dream has bothered me ever since and I have never evaluated the dream before. If someone could please help me and give me some sort of direction it would be greatly appreciated
