A couple of weeks ago i posted a dream about climbing down from roof tops, last night i had a dream on the same theme but different outcome.
I was on the flat roof of a very tall building, i was not unhappy i think i had been there many times before, i looked down and i could see smaller buildings that had been erected since my last visit. These building although lower were very close i thought that it would no longer be sate for me to take my usual route down from the roof with my parachute. While i was thinking this a woman in red jacket came past me quite quickly, she knelt down at he edge of the roof pulled up a straight bar ( like a small trapeze bar) went over the edge and the bar that was connected to some wire took her safely to the ground. When she went over he edge i was suddenly terrified of the height and i knew i could not take this route down and i would have to take the safer route down the shaft behind me, i made my way to the shaft sliding on my back across the roof so i couldn't look down and be scared. When i got to the shaft which was like an empty lift shaft i felt safe and i knew could safely use my parachute to jump down There were small yellow brick shaped ledges that stuck out here and there for foot holds. Then i was at the bottom of the shaft and i seemed to have lots of bags of shopping and i knew i would struggle to get out of the door, there were some people there but i didn't know them. I went outside and i looked at the smaller building that was opposite and there were 3 people on these bars sliding down the front of the building and i knew this was the new way that people got down , as i watched one of the bars broke away and a girl fell down i panicked for a few seconds as i thought she was going to die but she landed on a pile of mattresses and was fine. The dream ended . The last dream i had about getting down from roof tops i was able to do it, i followed a man, now it was a totally different dream but i was on a roof top and i was so happy and pleased that i could get down. This dream i was very scared. |

Hi,
An unknown roof means a man, getting down means a seperation because that roof was too high means that man has a big dignity and esteem and is higher that the other men. Yellow bricks mean a quarrel and illness for the cause of seperation. Another girl seperated with atravel. You had a parachute means you have some dignity and esteem but you will lose some as you fell down. Another girl will seperate but will fell with other men as the matresses mean. Good luck.

Well dreams link to our very conceptual thinking. They symbolize the ideas that we have about how best to handle a situation eg "I think I should learn to be more sensitive towards my sister as she has had a hard time recently". They will relate to thoughts about things going on in our lives.
Rooftops tend to link to issues involing abilities and confidence. they are high up and so involve us possibly falling off. So try to think about issues where you felt the following types of feelings "I feel confident amongst such people." "I sometimes feel a little freaked out alongside people with such talent" Often dreams will concentrate on issues that have just happened the day before... dreams show us thinking through new events. So what issues involved confidence the day before? What issues involved abilities? ------------------------ Dreams are best seen as building blocks of our own very thinking. They actually represent internal thought processes. The best way to understand dream symbols is to see them as words or collections of words. By themselves they make no real sense. For instance if a soldier appears in a dream we cannot truly understand that it means one thing. We have to interpret the symbol. Dreams symbols interact with each other and so their meaning can start to make more sense. If someone utters the word 'war' in a dream then we cannot understand what the meaning of the sentence is just by understanding the meaning of the word 'war'. Yes war has many different meanings and it can be used in many different contexts. In the same way if the dream contains a war or warlike situation we cannot make any immediate conclusions on its meaning. The simple get out clause of all dream interpretors was to make simplistic comments. That war in dreams means that you have got to face some major challenge head on. Thats truly underestimating the true complexity of dream language. The truth is that dreams can use war in just as many ways as we do in spoken language. It may refer to a warlike situation involving you or someone close to you. It may refer to some war like situation in the past that has already been resolved. It may refer to your worries that someone is being warlike towards you. So in truth a dream is not easy to interpret. Often there are no immediate clues to say that the dream is about you or someone else, and also no indication as to when the dream refers to (past, present or future). But its best to keep in mind the various possibilities. Keep an open mind. Just imagine the following three phrases "my boss said we need to wage war on these sloppy practices", "She was really waging war on me", "Tommorrow is going to be tough - the atmosphere is warlike" and "I was thinking about my experiences in the war". These are all rich in meaning and the presence of the word war does not in itelf give some strong clue as to the meaning of the sentence. In the same way the presence of a dream symbol does not by itself mean that much. Thank you so much for your thoughts and i will spend some time trying to relate them to the previous days activities I have this type of dream fairly regularly not always rooftops but always to do with being high and having to climb across a gap or bridge that i just can't do. I am terrified of heights in reality and i get worse as i get older.
