Ravens and Bats

I was in a front room of a house that I didn't recognize standing near the front door. Evening was drawing near and I could feel a sinister change about to take place outside. Then someone came through the front door and I could hear ravens began cawing very loudly. The person quickly shut the door as the ravens became more aggressive and tried to get through the door. Next, I walked into the bathroom and looked out the window and I could see three black bats staring at me. I made the sign of the cross with my fingers, but it didn't deter them. This dream reminded me of the movie "The Birds".

Ravens and bats are very classic dream symbols.
They are often symbols confuesd as being negative in their connotation. In reality, Ihese symbols only depict the fact that subconscious processes of the mind are on and working. It is the context in which they are viewed that really give them positive or negative meaning AND OR the predisposition of the dreamer toward bats and ravens.

Example, If the dreamer does not like bats and ravens they could very well slant the meaning of the dream this way.
In your case I feel as if this has happened and so they would tend to designate the fact that evil is knocking at your door. Take this dream to be showing that you are in the waking life being tempted by some force or idea that is outside personal parameters of morally acceptable behavior. It may also show that someone is perpritating this behavior in you or exposing you to something that is morally unacceptable in some way.

bats signify demons and annoyances. you may need to change your outlook or your habits in life, for they do not suit your growth anymore. it could also mean that you're entering into a situation blindly. they can also mean rebirth.
a black bat means self disaster.
and you know how bad things seem to come in threes.
you may be hitting a hard time in your life, but don't worry, things will look up for you soon.

Hi Smitty,
This is a dream that tries to incorporate some external noise while you sleep. It is likely that someone in your family osed to bathroom and someone had a cough while you slept.
When you're tired and need the sleep your subconscious tries to prevent external influences waking you up.
