I had a dream tonight. Iwas with a man and my 2 year old son. We were driving on a curvy roadin a white pick up truck. The man fell asleep while driving and we ran off the road into this massive pool of water like an old rock quarry filled with water. I was reaching to get my son so we could get out the window before the truck submerged totally in the water when I jumped up.

Maybe it links to your views about men. Often dreams contain conceptual informatiuon about how we are thinking. Have you recently thought aboput men and their ability to look after your child?
------------------------ If people truly knew the meaning of their dreams they would be quite surprised. Many have helped perpetuate the myth that dreams are really deep and meaningful. True some are but the majority of dreams are simply part of our brain functions. They help us clarify everyday issues. These are very important at the time but are far from being crucial in the overall scheme of things. Freud and others talk of the deeper dreams. But that is only because of their interest in psychology. They also speak of lots of other dreams that are insignificant and just linked to the previous day. But these dreams are interesting in themselves. They too show how the brain works. So simple dreams with meanings like "I need to spend more time on my studies" are important. If we can understand the simple dreams we can apply knowledge gained to solve the more trickier dreams. These pages are especially helpful in showing you how to interpret dreams Dream dictionary interpretation - How to interpret dreams Interpreting dreams Dreams analyzed - How to use dreams symbols Triggers for dreams Dream dictionary symbols - How to analyse and interpret dreams Dream dictionary ------------- http://www.scarboroughphotos.org.uk/...s/surfcity.php |

Hi,
Driving means guidance of the life, Someone you will know later will guide and support you, honestly to a pool that means a work place. Rock quarry means with a good earnings. Sumerging the pool means you will receive some power and digity. Good luck.

I have to make some assumptions taking in to account that you were driving the white pick up truck. I am assuming that this truck is not your real life everyday vehicle. I am assuming that you do not know this man in real life.
The first inclination is to chalk up this dream as one having to do with work...your day job. The white truck in the context given and assuming that it is not your real life vehicle shows that some kind of illness of concern. This could be a real illness that you are dealing with in waking life OR a figurative way of saying that things in your life just are not right. The latter places the dream in a column that would be interpreted as things are not right having to do with your job. You worry about your security and that of your son. The rock quarry is highly symbolic of a place that contains the things that you worry about. In this sense your dream explores the notion that you are a bit overwhelmed with everyday problems. Some are bigger than others, however your latest problem added to the pile has you drowning in troubles. The dream clearly shows that both you and your son are affected (you are in the same boat so to speak, affected by circumstances that you are desperately trying to work out and break free of. Regarding the man (if you happen to know him) in real life, think about what he represents to you...was he a boss, was he a close friend etc. If you know him in waking life he will give a clue as to what his interpreted meaning would be. Either way, the way that he was dressed...color and style may give a clue...the fact that he was driving and you were not totally in control of the situation is significant, showing that you are drowning in negative circumstances in life because of the actions or associations with others. You see, the details can be interpreted but their context really allows the dreamer to nail the meaning, spot on. With out specific details we can only get semi close. Summary, you do not feel in control of your life at this time and it is taking you down! Emotionally you are affected and whatever situation you deal with is significantly affecting you to the core. The white truck very likely shows that you are dealing with illness (or something not being right at work) OR it deals with illness in general, and this illness is totally affecting you. Please do not think that I am ridiculing the way that you have presented your dream. I am definitely not doing that. Some dreams, are not recalled in the detail that they are presented. Many dreams are forgotten all together. I simply mention the lack of detail to encourage you and others to include all aspects of detail and how you feel as you wake (associations to those who appear in your dream, colors, textures, etc. to help you to get a more precise interpretation, and to show you how to journal your dream. all the best, sailrmc |
