Head Injury with my ex at a theme park

I had a dream last night I was at a theme park with my ex and I fell and had a head injury. I was taken to the hospital for testing, as they felt I had internal brain damage.

From here, they performed archaic tests on me, to the degree of covering me in plastic and emulating being burried alive and drowning. In the dream they said since I could not remember that I was in the hospital and obviously safe, and my reaction was distress and panic, that I was mentally unstable and in need of a cranium cavity search.

They cut a strip off my scalp and accessed my skull for a period of time. My ex and my father were both in the room... They completed the "surgery" and filled the cranium cavity with cotton batting before stiching me up.

The whole dream lasted 3.5 hours and was really disturbing. Any ideas?

Wow! I had no idea a person could do so much with a brain and skull. I don't even understand half the terms you used...lol Anyway...I believe you dream is about injured thoughts and emotions. You said your ex and your father was in your dream. I believe the deception and pain you were exposed to by your ex may have triggered memories about how your father also hurt you emotionally and by means of the way you now think. Perhaps you even believe that somehow your father tainted the way you look at women or treat them. I may be way off here...but that is the "feel" I got from reading your dream. Hope this helps a bit. Shirrah might have a good idea about your dream, as it was so drown out! However the dream could have happened very quickly at the end of the 3 and a half hour. Your dream indicates that you had a bad headache in your sleep. The headache could have been caused by your thinking about the break-up with your ex, but from the dream text it seems that it came on while you slept.
If you suffer from headaches or migrain that is the most likely cause of the dream.
