Unhappy Assisted Suicide Dream

Hello,

This is my first time to post on this forum. I had a very disturbing dream last night and feel I need some help interpreting it.

Here goes:

I dreamt that I was in a room in a building where about 10 people (mostly young) were sitting on chairs against the wall. They were taking it in turns to stand up and walk to the centre of the room where a man then injected a poison of some kind into them. They then returned to their chair and sat down. I soon realised that when they returned to their seats, they started to die. It was terrible, first their eyes started to get very hot and sting them and then the poisin made them shake and gasp until they slumped in their chairs, dead. One boy in particular caused me a lot of distress as he seemed to be only about 20 years old. When he returned to his chair he stood up again and started waking slowly and shakily back to the man in the centre of the room, open-mouthed and red-eyed. He put his hand on the man's shoulder and tried to say something but the only noise to come out of his mouth was a terrible gasping strangling noise. He then started convulsing and collapsed to the floor, dead. Back on the chairs half the people were dead while the other half waited patiently for their shot. A girl I recognised was there but she changed her mind and ran away upset, I followed her and consoled her.

I woke with a terrible sadness after that, almost sick with the memory. I have many vivid frightening dreams but this really shook me up. I'd love to hear any thoughts you may have.

Hi,
Your dream was obviously influenced by the Welsh suicides of so many young people! However my guess is that you dreamt this dream while you were having a nap on a settee, or was sleeping uncomfortably in bed. Dreams are always about what is happening to the sleeper.
The dream indicates that some part of your body was hurting while you slept.
The dream transferred your pain onto the peple who went for the injections. This way your dream was trying to keep you asleep until the pain eased.
However the dream could have also been caused by the psychological sorrow and sympathy you felt for the young people.
Cheers Wolfjk

Hi,
They are people who will receive a loan or some money as a lend then they will have their problem solved( died). This you will understand better in a month or two when happening.

Well this is assisted suicide. What could that mean in a dream? often dreams uses stories which will in some way tap into how we think.

In dreamns suicide may simply link to the feeling "I give up". How has that featured in your life recently? Have other opeople been giving up? did you suddenly feel a sense of despair the day before? Is there some situation where you feel that same sense of despair. That people are giving up? perahps with the encouragement of others to give up?

------------------------
It is almost impossible to interpret someone else's dream. Dream use symbols many of which have a personal meaning. A particular symbol may have many varied meanings some of which are positive and some of which are negative. Take for instance a soldier whose appearance in a dream may symbolise a need for discipline. But it is confusing because that soldier may link to you and your situation but it may also be about someone else's need for discipline. It may also be a dream about events that have just passed but equally it is possible that the dream will refer to a need for discipline in some new situation. There are so many possibilities a dream interpretation can become meaningless and vague. Yet there is often a very clear message coming through. Yet the dream interpreter cannot make the connections tat the dreamer can make. It is impossible to know what happened to the dreamer the day before or to know what issues have been on the dreamers mind. Its impossible to know fully of the dreamers past. A dream interpretation is at best a guess.

But one helpful tip is to see symbols as words. The soldier stands for discipline. Try to see how that word featured in the events of the previous day. Think about the day to come and how that word features in your mindset right now. What long term issues feature the theme of discipline. Try to establish any connection whatever. Its a matter of building up clues.
