River Waves
I dreamed I lived in an apartment in a tall building in a busy city. I could see the river flowing by. The river was brown with sediment. I saw large waves of water traveling down the river. Commerical traffic had to struggle to keep from being slammed againist the river bank. I was watchin all of this out of my window of my small humble apartment. Then, I saw the largest wave yet travel down river. When crashed on the shore, it spilled over the banks and onto the highway along side it, even up to my apartment's parkinglot. This wave was followed by large wave bringing a soapy foam. I told Mom about the waves. She just said, "uh-huh" and didn't even bother to look. I stepped outside onto the flat rooftop. There were seagulls on the wall, a duck, and a goose with young. I asked the gulls about the waves. Did the water come up here? The goose young all piped up together in tiny little voices shouted, "Those were big waves!" They made me laugh. The gulls didn't have much to say. They said they never seen anything like this on the river before and they lived along its banks all their lives.

Underground Train
I dreamed I was about to embark on a ride. I was with 2 friends. We were inside a dark underground train station. There was no light here. We sat down in a car and traveled a little ways down a track. It had a steep drop like a rollercoaster, which was a fun thrill. We quickly came to a stop once the track was level again. We had to get off. An alarm went out. Waves of water were comming. We could get trapped here. Again, just as I was on the ride, I was calm even though we might be trapped, I decided if we remained calm and followed procedures, we will all be safe. The platform was packed. There were flashing red lights accompanying the siren. People neatly and orderly descended down the lower level with us. Then we had to climb down even further. We kept going straight down this tunnel. Then we stopped going down and started walking straight ahead and we ended up outside in the parkinglot IN DAYLIGHT BACK ON THE SURFACE walking back to our cars to go home. We were all safe. No water filled the station from the giant waves.

A river means a big important man in the city like a lawyer .
It was brown means he is tyranic or unfair, if crystal clear water would mean fair and just.
he will cause some troubles in the region.
You went on a toproof if the roof was a known roof means you will receive some dignity .
An unknown roof means a man if you are female.
Gulls and duck and goose are a few people around.

Hi,
Perhaps the news of the Mississippi floods just reached your subconscious? It seems yourdreams were influenced by terrible floods. However the dreams were about what was happening in your sleep! My guess is that you were uncomfortable in bed and probably sweating. The dreams changed to a pleasant outcome when you changed your sleeping position and got comfortable again.
Ask the goslings! They will tell you what it was all about!

Well dreams use symbols to compare one thing to another. Often we can be assessing what has just happened and we maybe trying to understand what someone has just said and why?

Think back to yesterday. Did anyone just ignore you when you were talking about something major? Did you ignore someone when they were talking about something major but which to you seemed unimportant?

So if you do not sleep then you will not be updating your thoughts. You will not be building a bigger picture.

The day before I was in a meeting with other members of the public outraged at the neglect and abuse of the cementery my and their relatives were buried in. The owner took the cementery ownership through an act of fraud and we were all arguing with him. He would only make excuses.

Hi Rocketsquirrel,

I went to sleep comfortably, didn't change position and wasn't sweating at all.

Studies and my observation of sleepers show that everyone changes sleeping position mmore than four times in an 8 hour sleep. No matter how comfortable the bed, your internal organs need rearranging. There is also pressure on some part of your skin after some time.
Generally when you go to sleep, after about 90 minutes you become uncomfortable, there follows some quick dreams with rapid eye movements, the dream moves you into a more comfortable position and and the cycle repears itself - but with less time between deep sleep and the need to change sleeping position.
Dreams are dreamt to keep you alive while you sleep, and wake you in the morning. However very few people realise they move in sleep.

Well the situation you mention the day before does seem relevant. It COULD be important. In some way this little story is tapping into the emotions that you felt the day before?

You do recognize this to be a major situation?(like the ducks) Yet in other ways you do feel ignored (like your mother ignores you).

It is important. Others around you maybe telling you that you should nnot make such a fuss about this. Yet sometimes we feel the urge to make a stand. Perhaps thats how this links.

But this is the way that dreams are. They do notgive us clear advice. Instead they give us a parable. Some other story that seems to tap into our subconscious.

The father of modern dream interpretation is not Freud or Jung but rather Jon Winson. But he never made a single dream interpretation. Instead he conducted research into the mind and established that certain brainwaves (theta waves) only appear during the night time. During the day we store up all new experiences and feelings in short term memory. Then at night we start to work through what happened the previous day and we integrate these into long term memory blocks. Then finally we clear short term memory blocks ready to start the process again the next day. Its likely that any dreams we have are linked to these brain functions. The weird images and feelings once deciphered capture our own feelings and new insights into the world around us. So the dreams then will often link to specific events from the day before and to new ways in which our world has been reshaped. It may simply link to our paranoias and fantasies. If we are focused on something about to happen in the near future then the dreams may link to that. Each dream captures one specific feeling or thought process.

Dream: The River Waves

Waves flowing down a river means something upstream has generated a great deal of energy. Is it an earthquake? A great wind? The river represents daily life. A wave is a disturbance, a disruption in life. These waves of disruption look scary and powerful but there is no damage due to them. They have little or no effect on me but I can see the effect on the rest of the world. It causes industry to struggle to stay afloat and on track. The river seemed to be rebelling againist the commericalization its waterway by people. Seeing this from a distance and from above is different in this dream than in previous dreams. No one wants an upstairs apartment. It is too much work to get groceries in and get things out. Even though I am high up, I am at the lowest level of society where I can still have a place to live and feed myself. I do not over extend myself. I save whenever possible, and little by little. I spend only the bare minium I can get away with. This lowly position isolates me from the waves from financial disruption since I have no debt and do not borrow have only myself to take care of. For those who have over extended themselves, for citizen and company alike, wave after wave of disruption comes, greater than anyone can remember. Its a punishment for those rich corporations that run over everybody else and small business ( little boats not allowed, give way to commerical traffic! The law of the river is that big commerical traffic is top priority) . Still its scary to see the intensity of it. I commune with the animals rather than people and this represents that my interest is in Nature. ALSO, these animals are those who have prospered as a result of human activity, so what happens to people affects them. I try to find some kind of reassurance that this has happened before, that is this is a normal cycle. Clearly, it is not! The foam means the river is trying to clean itself, this would indicate that these wave of financial disturbances are meant to clean out the riff raff in the economy.



Dream: The Underground Train

This train symbolizes the underground enconomy. This is where the poor are hidden and is not the illegal economy but a hidden one, where the ordinary working person and the poor are out of sight. This is where I am. My friend and I were there to explore where the trains go to see how far we can go. None of the tracks go as far as we thought. That means there is no way for an ordinary working person to go very far in the world legitimately because of a wealth monopoly. The monopoly sets limits on everyone so all roads lead to a dead end. The steep drop was needed to order to pick up momentum to keep going. This means that a person entering the work force has to dramatically reduced income, then a bottoming out or leveling off. Then another wave of disruption comes along and sets off panic among those who control the wealth, and they think we should panic, too. All I can do is stay level headed and follow the normal procedures to protect myself. Descending lower and lower into the tunnel by ladder felt like climbing down into a bottomless pit. The darkness and the descent symbolizes slipping lower and lower in society, becoming weaker and weaker financially, having to surrender more and more. It seems that will never been an end. It will be very uncertain as the rich push down the working class and the very poor lower and lower (for that is what the rich people were having us do, go down lower, creating a wider gap between the rich and everybody else). Eventually, it is the poor and and the working class that come out on top and the big companies are gone. For we emerged on top and the big industries had closed. The working class will inherit the economy.

With all the collapses going, the interpretation I gave of this dream seems to be describing the current situation in the economy; so I am moving this up so I can review it for anything more I can glean from it.
