Friend's Renovated House

I dreamt my friend, who bought an older house, had the house renovated in a more contemporary style. Every house except for one room was decorated in a dark red paint and mahogany wood floors. It was beautifully redone, very cozy, but too dark for my tastes. Her boyfriend's room was painted in a neon green color with lots of sunlight coming in. He had pictures up of himself everywhere, showing his muscles and displaying his love of exercise and body building. I loved the light of the room, but was quite annoyed by him. My friend was having a party so lots of people were at the house. My parents showed up. I took their coats and told them that it was every man for himself as far as getting food and drinks. They seemed to be all for it.

Any ideas?
