I saw him the day before I had the dream, and it was the first time I'd seen him in three weeks. I didn't talk to him, because I tend to freeze up when I do.

So, another question burning my mind is: why were my other friends there? I hadn't seen them in a while, or thought about them the day before. It is confusing..

I saw him the day before the dream. I was at a fast food restaurant (McDonalds) when I saw him. I am afraid to actually talk to him, so I have had five or so short conversations with him, but nothing more.

In the dream, it wasn't a McDonalds. And there were the added people (my two friends, his cousin) in the dream that weren't there when I saw him for real. I don't remember him saying anything in the dream.

But I don't see how it relates to my thoughts about relationships, how it means comfort to him, or how what I ate before could possibly altar the events of what happened in the dream.

Hi,
You should not take dreams literally. They are created by your subconscious to take your mind of something that is upsetting you or hurting you while you sleep. Dreams are like fairytales your mother told you when you were small, to loll you to sleep.
Regarding your dreams: when your dream is connected to a fast food restaurant or anything to do with food or eating, it is most likely that your dream is caused by indigestion. Greasy foods are difficult to digest and unhealthy; your subcconscious is trying to warn you not to eat too much of it! Look at the people whose bellies are nearly hanging down to the floor!
Cheers Wolfjk
