Awful dream of murder

In my dream I had a toy pistol that killed. I was at my Grandmothers old house (she is still alive but has since moved). For no reason at all I shot (killed) two of my cousins and my sister (who has passed on in real life). I handed the pistol to my other sister and told her to kill me. She shot me in the stomach. I could feel the shot, the warmth of the blood. I lay there with my guts in my hands. I asked her why she didn't shoot me in the heart. For some reason I knew I wasn't going to die. I asked her to get my parents who were inside the house. They came and I apologized to them for killing everyone. The alarm clock rang and I woke up.

This dream bothers me alot. I have a good relationship with my family, I consider myself successful, (i.e. haven't disappointed my parents). Just wondering what such a gruesome and horrifying dream could mean.

Relax! Your dream meant that you had a bad stomach ache or a bad indigestion in your sleep.
Sometimes one needs a very violent dream to wake up, especially if some pain or illness comes on while in deep sleep.
The fact that there was shooting indicate that you had to be woken from the dream very quickly! I can only guess at the reason, the chances are that even you won't know as the violence in the dream grabs your attention on waking.

First of all, I have to say what a nice Les Paul you have!

Now for meaning,
This is an awareness dream, a diorama that depicts interpersonal relationships and how you handle yourself in such situations (in real life).
It appears as if you are affected by things that are said about you. The innuendo is that you fire back (so to speak) and tend to occasionally hurt those that you love, in your counter attack. While you may feel remorse for unleashing a quip or two (that may in effect tear down those who you love) it also appears to be true that you tend to hurt their feelings first!
What is it that they say...Do unto others before they do unto you! AND this makes you feel somewhat guilty.

First of all, thank you for your interpretations. I think everyone has touched on valid points. Wolfjk, what was interesting was that I did have a stomach ache later on in the morning.

Varzandeh, I would like to receive some money or benefit. You may find it interesting to know that two days before the dream, I found a "gift card" at a local store. The balance on it was over $200 and was good for gas, groceries, or alcohol. (Shiner Bock, sailrmc?) Needless to say, I thought about keeping it, but decided not to. I told the store manager I found it, but was going to hold on to it until the owner called. A couple hours later, the owner called, was able to identify it, and we were able to get it back to her. She was very greatful. I didn't get anything in return, and I didn't want anything, but maybe something will come of it. Is it possible it was about the money that found it's way back to it's owner?

sailrmc, Thanks for the compliment on the guitar! I do tend to "fire" sarcastic remarks to people. Maybe I need to tone it down a little.

What struck me was the people in the dream. I don't tend to talk that way to those people. Also, one was my twin sister, who had passed away 9 years ago. I don't tend to dream about her. Like Wolfjk said, maybe I just needed something shocking to get my ass out of bed!
