2 snakes & a locker

So I had this dream that me and an unrecognizable male character were trying to protect someone and we were trying to keep these two cartoonish snakes trapped in locker (a male and female one) and they kept getting out. The male one ended up getting cut so that it was really short and just had the head and the bottom of the tail and they attached so he was really short. The snakes were really evil and I was trying my hardest to keep them in the locker to protect whoever I was protecting, but no matter what I did they kept getting out over and over again. Then the unrecognizable male character left and I had to try to keep them in on my own. Right before I woke up the girl snake had just gotten out again and I was trying to catch her before she slithered out the door. I have NO idea where this dream came from. I was reading before I fell to sleep, but it had nothing to do with snakes, it was just a fluffy romance novel. Any idea about what this means? I was kinda weirded out by it.

I link this dream to the romance novel. the dream depicts some rather sexist and bad male tendencies.

I think the dream shows you trying to use romance novels to keep bad thoughts about men hidden away. Your trying to forget the bad aspects of male behavior. Yet your mind is reminding you of some recent bad experiences. That men are not like they are in romance noevls.
