dreams about being opposite sex, children as objects

Hey. Alright I don't have one particular dream I want to discuss, but some themes that seem to keep occuring throughout my dreams.

The most unnerving part about my dreams is that sometimes I dream that I'm a man. (when, in fact, I am a completely straight 19 year old female). I have even dreamed that I'm a dad. These dreams really bother me. I don't think I've had one in a month or two. However, when I ask other people if they've ever dreamed of being the opposite sex I just get strange looks.

Another thing is that I often have dreams where my children are objects. Sometimes they switch back and forth between being the child and the object, or sometimes i see them as the object for a moment but then I don't have a picture of them again but just sort of know they're with me. I have had kids who are puppies. Last night my kid was a black tent in a field full of white tents. The "reason" everyone knew it was my kid was because it was black (nothing racial here, I'm white, it was just known that the black tent was mine). Then I've also had a dream where I kept switching role as a mother and the child -- sometiems I saw what was taking place from the perspective of the child and sometimes from the perspective of the mother. I dream about kids a LOT -- they're always infants or toddlers.

I run from things that are going to kill me a lot in my dreams. This usually takes place near or in water. And I often end up talking to whoever/whatever I'm running from for a minute (without fearing for my life) before running from it again.


So anyways. i guess the thing I'm most interested in is when I dream of being the opposite sex.

White tent means a benefit and red tent means he spends his time to play and spoils his time playing and dancing.
If dreamt a big dark blue tent means he will have a disaster and sorrow.

Collectively your dreams tend to indicate a past that has involved hurt and disappointment features that have caused you to have mixed feelings about the role of parenting and of children. It is like being deeply disappointed where you currently are unable to come to terms with it. The hurt would appear to have occurred in childhood and emotionally you are still viewing the situation from that of being the child while today you are an adult. With the progress of maturity and a better understanding of human nature you should be able to manage those feelings more capably.
