Default Same places, different dreams

Hi there, I just joined and would like to see if anyone knows what my dreams could mean. I just keep having dreams about 3 of my old homes, almost every night. It annoys me because my dreams used to be fun little adventures, and now I feel like I'm being sucked into the past, left to decay with those memories. These dreams started after I moved into my current house, which I also dream about, but not as much (though I don't mind them because they don't have that "stale" feeling). I'm usually either currently living in them, in the process of moving, or coming back to them after I moved for some reason. (you probably don't need to read the below paragraphs, but they'll provide some more information)

Ghetto apartment dream -- I used to live in some "ghetto" apartments. Not a horrible place, but let's just say you could find plenty of people who could sell you some drugs if you knocked on the right doors. I lived in the complex since I could remember until 11-12 years or so. The apartment I keep on dreaming about I lived in for at least 3 years. It was a dark place, one that we thought (after moving) was haunted.
In the dreams I'm usually alone, or with people who are around my age or younger. I'm usually not actually living there, but most of our stuff is there. Oftentimes I'll use it as a safe-spot when I'm at the apartment complex (for some unknown reason). Like if some bad-looking people come around, I'll run in the apartment (which is somehow unlocked and abandoned) and lock the door, often having the bad guys at the door wanting to come in. It's usually dark in there, with a dim yellow lighting (well, that's pretty much how most of dreams are.. it's always night).

Nice apartments dream -- We moved to a nicer, quieter apartment complex after living in the previously mentioned apartment. I lived there until I was 14 or so. It was a nice place with few problems. My grandparents used to live there too in another building. I used to go to each building's laundry room and look for interesting magazines (this comes up later..).
In my dreams of it, I'm usually not living there. I rarely see my old apartment. Sometimes someone else is living in it, either a friend or stranger. I do wander around the building where my apartment was though. The laundry room, which was right below our apartment, is a favorite place to go in my dreams. I'm often looking through the dryers for loose change, in which I find quite a lot. Sometimes I go to all the different laundry rooms in the complex, finding nice antiques that people leave for others.
A lot of times my grandparents still live in their apartment, even though they moved out years ago in the real world.

Mobile home dream -- We bought our first "house" when I was around 14. We stayed there a couple of years until moving to our current house. It was in a mobile home community that pretty much just opened up. When we moved, the community was falling apart. Everyone just kept moving, leaving their garages behind. Every few lots you drove past, there was either an empty lot or abandoned trailer. I visited the place about 2 years ago, and the whole place was empty (they were going to build real houses on it).
This is the dream I hate the most because I'm usually feeling so lonely in it. The loneliness is from the fact that everyone or most everyone has left the place. Sometimes my family is there, sometimes I'm alone. We're almost always in the process of packing up to move. Pets are often present. Sometimes I will go to the laundry room in the house and find out that my old rat is still there, but with babies of differing ages. Also all of my current dogs are sometimes present, even though I had only one dog back then.

Of course I have more information for each place, but I would probably have to describe every dream I've had :P

I don't blame anyone if they don't read the whole thing.. Too long and probably too boring.

Edit: Well, I guess I would like to know if this returning to places I grew up in has any real meaning. I would also like to know if there's a way to stop them, because as I said they're too "stale" and bleak.

Hi,
A house means a partner like three ex partners or means some money.
A mobile home means a travel is on the way.

Here are other scenarios with a house symbol:

A single house is interpreted as a woman or a man.
If one dreamt he lifted the house or lifted the door of the house means he will marry a great person that will accept his expenses.
If one dreamt was moving to a new house means he /she will have a proposal or some money.
If dreamt a single house and was white with chalk and didn't know whose house it was means he will have a death danger.
If one dreamt ran into a house and didn't lock the door and that house had a way to another house means he will rescue from a sorrow and if is ill means he will cure.
If dreamt he broke the door of his house means he will receive some money.
If dreamt the house collapsed over him means he will receive a good deal of money.
If dreamt the house became larger than it was means he will have short of money.
If dreamt the door of his house was of iron means some money.
If dreamt the door of his house was of silver means he should contrite sins.Decorations( Zokroph)/33 .If he is rich will get richer.
If dreamt there wasn't any other house around his house means his affairs will be closed and spoiled.
If dreamt of a large house that had porches and a building means he will have spiritual dignity and reward.
If dreamt the door of a big house broke or burnt means will have a disaster.
If dreamt the ground of his house became larger means his livelihood will increase.
If dreamt the ground of his house became smaller means his livelihood will decrease.
If dreamt someone pulled his house door off means he prays a little and will close the way of honesty and reward.
If dreamt he was pulling an old house door off means he will have an opening in his life and a happiness.
If dreamt he entered a new and clean house means he will receive some wealth.
If dreamt he entered an unknown house and knew no-one and there were dead people means there is his spiritual place and there is a death danger.
If dreamt he entered such a house and came out soon means he will have a serious illness but will cure.
If dreamt he entered a known house that its walls were of clay means he will receive some moral money.
If the walls were of brick and chalk means he is earning immoral money.
If dreamt came out of such a house means he will contrite immoral money sins.
If dreamt entered a big house means increasing livelihood but a tight house means decreasing livelihood.
If dreamt he entered a new house , it may mean he will have a baby girl or sister. Porch means his parents if the porch was new means health for his parents.
House may also mean : 1- a proposal 2- wealth 3- safety 4- a pleasant life 5- money 6- directorship 7-dignity 8- a deposit.

Look for common threads in all of these dreams and you might agree that it would be along the lines of loneliness, unhappiness and transition. Next ask yourself if you feel these things about the stage of life that you live in today or whenever you experience these dreams. If the answer is yes, then the answer is that it is time to do something about it, that it is time to change.

Resolution is also suggested anytime you enter a laundromat in a dream. Time to wash yourself clean from that which bothered you then and time to change if you are bothered by the same emotions in your waking life today.

If I am on track, then the dreams should change as you start to change your life. Look for small steps that you can take to add fulfillment and excitement to your life. Set small short term goals...perhaps a savings account or some way to mark progress. Your dreams should really change when you instigate change and direction in your waking life.

Well Sailrmc, you might have hit the head on the nail. I have been going through agoraphobia for the past year which prevents me from really doing anything outside of the house. I can't do anything with anyone (except for grocery shopping) because the suffocating fear keeps me stuck at home. I haven't been able to get a job, or continue schooling, therefore I haven't been able to make any friends (if that were even possible -- I have been suffering from social anxiety since I was little so making friends is a challenging task).

I have recently reconnected with an old friend though, and she has visited me with her parents 2 times, will be 3 this Saturday. Hopefully something can change. I did have the mobile home dream again last night, and they were there with a lot of their stuff (maybe they decided to move in?). One of our neighbors that moved out before us also moved back in their mobile home in my dream. I wonder if that means anything, or if it's just my mind being weird.

Thank you for your advice though, it does help.

Just a bit more to add here...The subconscious mind is our very own on board shrink. I have seen it work incredible wonders with a myriad of ailments and diseases.
I would suggest that you sequester a pen and small notebook and start a dream journal. When you wake even in the middle of the night write down a few phrases and details about your dreams. When you wake you will be surprised that amount of detail that you will remember. Do not leave out colors, sounds, and scenery along with how they made you feel as you dreamed.

As you set small goals for yourself and accomplish them your dreams will change.
At a certain point you may need to address the dreaming process a bit differently. You should show marked improvement in many areas of your life. The subconscious is part of you. It is your mentor and friend, confidant and on board shrink. As you start the dreaming process and show change in those dreams your life will be changing as well. It is amazing the parallel that goes into motion...the dreams will facilitate resolution if approached in a slow and deliberate way. I think that you will be surprised as to just how much you will be able to help yourself. After all just think, phobias exist in the mind...oh they are real, they are based upon fears that have accumulated over time...but also keep in mind that dreaming mind address our fears first. They are priority one, and so you will have help.
I as many others on this site, will surely be happy to help analyze your dreams so that you can learn how to evaluate them on your own. If you wish, you may give me notice when you post your dreams and I will make an effort to help you with them.
It is all up to you, as is any success in life.
