where's my ipod?

I went to a sort of office and accidentally forgot that I left my ipod in my car. I had my little dog with me (which I never take anywhere, but I love her dearly). I go into the office with my dog. When I come back, the ipod is gone, but replaced with a new packaged ipod. I run back inside the office freaked out that someone has my ipod filled with my music. I run back out to my car, still in a panic, and see that the car door is open. There is a packaged nail file on the floor and the new ipod is gone. I realize that I have left my dog inside and I run to find her. She is cuddled up with another dog on a chair. I feel sad, but better that I found my dog.

Okay, I know it is really silly to dream about an ipod, but it is something I have put a lot of time into. I am guessing the ipod is a symbol of my life and all the things I have put into it to be who I am today. I just graduated and a going to start teaching in the fall. I just got out of a bad relationship as well. I don't understand where my dog comes in the picture and the ending, so tell me what you think.

A dog may mean loyalty. Maybe your dog is the one steadfast thing in your life right now.
Or....maybe it's telling you that you will find a relationship with someone loyal that you will feel good about (glad to find dog cuddled with another.)
