relationship dream needs to be broken down

Im new so i apologize for leaving anything important out.
The dream starts out at night around around 9 and im in my clothes for bed. I hear the doorbell ring and its a girl ive known through high school (me and her are both now going into our 2nd year of college). When i open the door she asks me if I want to go on a date to the movies. I say and yes and she says to meet her in 20 minutes outside. I close the door and some time goes by where I am doing nothing and then i realize 20 minutes has gone by. I get dress in casual clothes and sprint out the door of my house. The minutes I step outside its a different location from where i live. I stop a car and ask if they have seen her and they point me back from where they came. I sprint down the road and see her waiting on a oversized gold car that is set on railroad track. On that c the parents from home improvement are playing instruments and singing and she is crying thinking i stood her up. I get to the car and she is very happy to see me. It gets blurry after that point but it looks like we either hugged or kiss but i cant be sure. The next thing i know the car is moving and i can see in a first person view as opposed to being in third person like the rest of the dream. She is talking to some hispanic guy who i dont know it blurs again after that i am looking around at some city but i cant tell where it is. The dream ends after that and I would really like to know what this all means. I havent spoken to or seen the girl since highschool ive only seen a picture here and there of her on facebook and things of that nature. Also concerning the parents of home improvment, i never watched the show or liked it. Thanks for the help.

The meaning of the dream is that you really need some degree of change in your life. The girl from high school is symbolism as getting a link to the higher self, (being receptive to some aspect of your life that needs going over, so to speak). The movie is also a set up, what ever happens afterward is the message that you are to receive. The message as I said is that change is needed, but primarily that you need to pay attention to that which comes from your dreams. I am still a little confused the girl in question asked me out on a date but she also is light skined with dark features like you were discussing with your dream guides so im still confused as to if she is a guide or a symbol. Im also not attracted to her as far as I know ( i dont know if the dream is telling me im wrong and that I am attracted to her) Also we never made it to the movie so i dont really understand the message also a title was not given. By the way she said the name of the theatre we were going to were called the "O.K. Theatres".

Sometimes the dream guide creates so much attention that the dreamer gets distracted from the meaning of the dream.
I believe this to be the case in your dream.

I feel that perhaps the meaning may be, that you are late getting to appointments in your waking life and that being late will cause you to loose valuable opportunities.

There are so many things to say about dream guides and the various types that the mind places in the roles...
In this case it is just easier to point out the meaning of your dream. I do get really interested in the architecture of dreams, why people and things are selected by the subconscious mind to play the role that they play.. At the end of the day, the only reason anything is in your dream, is to help to lead you to the message, and to help give clues as to what the message is.
