Odd dream but wanted to ask.
Before I went to sleep that night, I played golf and I talked to my friend about me not knowing how to swim. Anyway, when I slept, I dreamt that I was playing golf on the beach (with a beach house right in the back). When the ball landed in the sand, the tides kept coming in and I was waiting for the tides to go back to the see. However, as each time passed, I realized that the water was coming in more and more. Soon, the beach level of the house started filling with water. Not panicking, I waited until the water came up to my waist, and behold I swam upstairs and I survived. I guess my questions are: 1. Does your daily convos affect your dream? 2. Does this dream have any meaning? |

Hi,
yes, it is full of meanings. Golf is like Chougan in the past that was played riding horses and there is on the old books. If one dreamt had a hockey bat and was hitting the ball means he will achieve a wish and will keep his dignity but his beliefs are weak.********************* If dreamt the hockey bat was in the hand of a governor means he will overcome a rival. If the hockey bat was in the hand of a common person means he will fight with the people also women will tell him rude words. Some interpreters say a bat is a woman. And if water entered a house means money from the government, Ocean means the governor. So, you will achieve wish at your business and will receive a good deal of money, it may take two months or so. Good luck.

I do think our conversations have an affect on our dreams. Because you were talking about no knowing how to swim....maybe your dream was just a release of your fear or anxiety about learning. I think you should be encouraged by this dream because you successfully swam to safety. That sounds like a good sign to me!

1. Yes, Things that one is exposed to always has a chance of making it into your dreams, but there is a priority line up (so to speak) that the subconscious mind has plans on commenting about. Apparently this subject is one that was on the list anyway, or of high priority.
Let me say that fears are on the highest priority of subject matter that the subconscious mind addresses. So most of the time subject matter concerning your fears are most likely to be addressed first. It just so happened that you were discussing something that was on the list and the subconscious mind says why not do this tonight while it is fresh on your mind. The rising water shows that you are somewhat overwhelmed when you are in the water (completely understood and logical). The overall meaning of the dream is perhaps two-fold. The beach is a setting that commonly is architecture in a dream intended to show the subject matter (of the night) that will wash up...for consideration. Your subject had to do with fear, based on the fact that you are not able to swim. The subconscious mind says, hold on, you have the capability, you can do it, if you put your mind to it (the swim upstairs). Now do not jump into the water just to test this out. The message is probably giving you a positive nudge...more like, hey you can do this!! Time to get busy! I think the YMCA offers classes for adult non swimmers as does the Red Cross. 2. Yes, I think you can see it's meaning now. It is time to do something about this issue. Remember you are told , "You can do it!" safe and smooth sailing to you! sailrmc |

well dreams do link to our conceptual thinking. They are at the heart of the higher thinking within us - be that creative or imaginative processes.. or simply our emotions and intuitions(intuitions are by their very nature extremely complex thoughts. They involve the ability to compare and contrast.
I am not sure what this dream MEANS. Really dreams can be very personal. Personally golf and swimming are not very important issues. The ability to swim is not that important. Its not about that. My best guess is that this dream links to your assessments about how this golf match went... not in the sense that you won or lost. Rather that you are sensing how well you got along with your opponent. How the mood eased and you talked in ways you found easier. ----------------------------- Well dreams are about our own inner feelings. They capture how we are performing as people. They show that maybe sometimes we have gone a little too far. They can concentrate on some doubts in your mind. They can link to resentments developing in your mind. Each dream will tend to represent some change in your thinking. It captures a new feeling. It maybe captures the moment when you decided to trust someone whom you previously had not trusted. So look for these little insights as they develop in your mind. They may be directed to your dreams.
