She probably sees personality traits in the teacher to which she warms or feels in some way comfortable about her.

are unconscious messages which signify an importance to which the conscious mind needs to become aware of. From my understanding your house represents your thoughts or mind. A teacher is one who contains a message, but can only give it if and when the student is ready and willing to hear it. Often we project parts of our psyche onto other characters in our dreams when we are fearful of knowing something. Yet this teacher is an aunt which tells me the message is close and your friend is not fearful of knowing it. Your friend may contain certain characteristics common to this teacher but may be unaware of it. How does your friend feel about this teacher? What words would your friend use to describe this teacher? And what about the aunt? How does your friend feel about her? And what words would your friend use to describe her? Perhaps there is a connection, especially if all three are women. However, if the english teacher is a male it could simply represent a need for your friend to assert certain qualities about herself that are like those of her teacher.
Oftentimes names contain clues. Tell your friend to look to the names of these two people, first and last, to see if there is something there that she needs to be aware of. When was the last time your friend saw his/her aunt? Perhaps the dream is a signal to reconnect with the aunt as perhaps the aunt has something to say. Too, depending on the age of your friend, the dream might be stressing a need for an educated and authoritative approach to something. However, the most direct link I can see to the english teacher and your friend's aunt is communication. English teachers teach us how to read and write and structure sentences that are grammatically correct without spelling errors etc. Aunts were once almost exclusively newspaper columnists. Perhaps if your friend is seeking a direction in his/her career life, the dream is responding by telling him/her that it lies somewhere in the realm of journalism, public relations, or anything else to do with the written word. I hope this helps. |
