Default Dreams about Nightmares

I've had this weird dream a couple of times about someone I love. He's in a hotel room asleep and he's tossing and turning in a nightmare. What's that about?

Hi,

Sleeping in the dream for a dead person or someone who has a fear means a comfort and salvation.
If dreamt someone was sleeping on a bed means he will receive some dignity but he is far from religion because being asleep means a neglect.
If dreamt he was sleeping in a low small place on a bed means abjectness.
Some interpreters say sleeping for a feared person means safety and for a dead person means forgiveness and for an ill person means curing also for a jailed person means freedom.
If dreamt he was sleeping among dead people and someone woke him up means he will get famous. The cave /17.
So, he has some dignity but he is unaware of what is on the way.

Well dreams are very much about you trying to understand others. Dreams pinpoint certain things. Maybe this dream came at a time when you understand his needs. You arew aware of the things that trouble him.

----------------------------------
Freud and many other dream analyzers tend to emphasise deep seated issues as the causes of dreams. But really most dreams link to current events. Of course if you were involved in a car accident the day before then thats a current event. In the same way if you were thinking about someone the day before then thats an event. Maybe that person has been a little bit quiet. Thats an event in your mind and could easily cause a dream. Some deep seated issues can cause dreams. Take soldiers who have fought in Iraq. The trauma of war can have a deep impact on soldiers. They will think about tricky situations every day. Soldiers who fought in Fallujah have reported thinking about that battle every day. In that sense each and every day that battle takes place each and every day. It is in effect an event. Its shaping and reshaping that persons thinking all the time. So really look at what is happening in your mind on a daily basis. If some deep trauma is still in your mind during the day it will dominate your thinking at night time. Dreams merely reflect the same issues that dominate your day time thinking.
