Past Life Dream????

You probally don't remember but I had one of my little sisters have a dream before, and she has stoped having them for about a month now. However, dreams have stricken our family again with questions. We are a very pious family, and it is in our religion not to believe in reincarnation, but latley I have been.

I have a four year old sister now. She is our gift and she has been upsetting us a lot lately with her dreams. She wakes up screaming "Get off of me" almost every night now, and we know it can't just be something upsetting her. When we ask her what her dreams are she tells us that she is a "big girl" and she is in the basement (which ours is unfinished, and it is a house built in 1934) and she is holding a little girl and some guy with a gun is taking her away on a train and she goes into someplace with other girls and kids and they kill her...

and somehow we think it is related to a past life...because we relate it most to my other sisters and my dream in which events are very "WW2" like... in which hers is as well...what strikes us the most is that in the end-ish of her dream she is describing what we think would be a gass chamber, which, and we find this most odd because when she was a baby she had severe breathing problems, and now she has horrible asthma.

Can someone either intrupret the dream differently or help us find a true meaning and see if we should see someone.

Hi,
As you said past life and reincarnation is denied by most or religions.
The key is that dreams of immatured children is about their parents and of girls is about their mother.
So, she had a girl and a girl means some blessing,
A train means a work place ,
And to kill or murder means to help to have a problem solved.
Also In my opinion gass chambers are invented by the films in holywood and they have not a history document.

I would read Edgar Cayce, if you want to explore the reincarnation possibility. What is interesting is her childhood ailments like asthma and your families shared experience. He said that when souls come back from a bad experience like that they just need extra love and attention, to stay away from scary and violent images loud noises etc. Why don't you look into that? I don't think a four year old girl could come up with such voilent images without experinces to back it up. It's only my opinion. And yes, I would look into getting some professional advice, it sounds like it is traumatic. And if you are pious, you know that sincere prayer to God can only help!!Good luck.

from what I can see in the dream, it really seems to deal with past life experiences. There is not much "symbolic" content as in some dreams, but things could have happened in that way in a past life. There is a form of therapy called "regression therapy", where one can go and take a look at past lifes, and also dissolve possible traumas connected with it. I do not know to which extend this is practicable with a young child, but other members of your family could undergo this. It would seem that your family is a "soul group" which had experiences together in past lifes.

Also, if you are pious, I think this is no contradiction with for example Christian faith. Christianity does not make much statements about this, but Jesus was resurrected, and in some prayers I remember the phrase "I believe in ... and ..., the resurrection of the soul and eternal life".

I do not want to convince you in an intellectual way about reincarnation and all that stuff. If it is really true, it is experiencable, and if one has experienced it by heart, this is the true form of BELIEVING; one really knows that it is true.

One thing that many people looking into regression therapy/past life therapy have experienced is that they sometimes have a deep trauma in this life where they don´t know where it comes from, and then they see a happening from a past life, and the trauma related to it is dissolved. This is often a very deep and moving emotional moment, and afterwards people really feel better in the present. So whether it is a "past life experience" or not, undergoing such a therapy definitely has a curing effect upon people, and they feel better afterwards.

So I would suggest you may take a look at regression therapy, and perhaps it can help some of the older family members . To what extend a four-year old can be helped by this the therapist would have to decite.

Your piety would not have any connection to your sister's dreams. You may find that as she gets older that those types of dreams will recede and probably no longer be troublesome to her. Meantime, endeavour not to criticise nor condemn her but listen to what she has to say and ask her what she herself feels about them. If she finds then upsetting let her know that they will soon stop as she gets a little older. In your prayers you could ask for help in getting her disturbing dreams stopped. It works!

Thank you for bringing up such an intellectually-stimulating conversation here. Do not think yourself sacriligious in your family's interest in knowing the truth about the Holocaust. The Nazis in Germany commanded by Adolf Hitler persecuted six million people, not just Jews, but Gypsys, Soviets, gays and disabled people. Hitler not only gassed many people in the name of eradicating the Jewish race, who he saw as inferior, he also sometimes burned them to ashes in his sociopathic, devilish religious intolerance.
I remember as a kid, I used to talk to my brother about Dr. Death, one of the many sadistic and cruel people who tortured Jews in the death camps...he would pour salt on the gaping wounds of those that rebelled against the racist regime and also pull their teeth for gold, without anesthesia. We never read about it, but we both knew because there are genetic memories that go beyond just the superficial.
Just because you are Christian doesn't mean you shouldn't learn about World War II. It is part of our nation and our world history and should not be forgotten. By all means, read books and watch movies on the subject and become informed. I don't go to church personally and I believe in God, and I doubt any kind Lord wanted people to die in the name of "racial cleansing".
Your sister's dream is a call from Heaven for you to have knowledge of what happened in Nazi Germany.
Being informed and thinking for yourself means allowing yourself to be open to new ideas of thought and things you might have in the past tried to ignore. Some people think the Holocaust didn't happen, but I beg to differ. I hope this nightmare will help you to remember the Holocaust and what a shameless act of racism it was.
