Red face Sleeping & Can't Wake Up

I frequently dream of falling asleep & not able to wake up. The scenario is always different, but it is usually in a classroom situation or a meeting where there are other people around, it's noisy & usually someone is trying to tell me something & I either I'm falling asleep or can't wake up. In my dream, I try real hard to wake up from sleeping & when I do, I wake up for real. I usually wake up feeling real tired because of this battle in my dream. I frequently dream like this & remember it - most other dreams I don't remember at all. It's kind of weird. My husband told me that it's my body trying to tell me to wake up. It happened this morning - a meeting situation & someone was telling me to move to another chair. Does anyone know what this means? Thanks for your help.

Hi

This page deals with paralysis in dreams.

Dream dictionary interpretation - sleep paralysis and paralysed dreams

It could be simple sleep paralysis but the page also deals with paralysis in dreams as a symbol.

Thanks unclesirbobbyrobson, this gives me a better understanding of what's going on. I think I might have figured it out.

Hi,
Sleeping in the dream for a dead person or someone who has a fear means a comfort and salvation.
If dreamt someone was sleeping on a bed means he will receive some dignity but he is far from religion because being asleep means a neglect.
If dreamt he was sleeping in a low small place on a bed means abjectness.
Some interpreters say sleeping for a feared person means safety and for a dead person means forgiveness and for an ill person means curing also for a jailed person means freedom.
If dreamt he was sleeping among dead people and someone woke him up means he will get famous. The cave /17.

I frequently dream of my parents who are dead, it's nice to know it's because of comfort.

What about sleeping & trying to wake up? My dreams are of me trying really hard to wake up & I can't. The people around me are interacting w/me or trying to, but I'm asleep. I can hear them & what's going on in the room, but I just can not wake up.

Thank you.

Hi,
May be you are unaware of something and people trying to make you aware and you don't pay attention.
Dreaming a deceased person alive in the dream means something forgotten or got impossible for you will revive , will be ok for you.
Dreaming a deceased person sleeping means he is in peace.

Thank you, I have to start paying attention to see if there is anything I need to be aware of.

It's my dad that I dream of the most & he is always alive in my dreams. Could he be trying to tell me something?

Hi,
Deceased people in the dreams mostly have a symbolic meaning , of course sometimes if they say something one should search what they have said.
For deceased father there is a special meaning that if he was wearing decorated clothes means you will have a better situation in life or at work.

There are also many other symbols in different scenarios:

• If dreamt a deceased person told him that I'm alive means that dead person has a good situation in the spirituals and God is satisfied of him.
• If a deceased person hugged him means an illness will cure and will be healthy.
• If dreamt a dead was happy from the relatives means he is not happy of them.
• If dreamt a dead of the relatives argued with him or turned his face , means he hasn't done the dead's will.
• If a dead was laughing means he has been pagan.
• If a dead was praying means he had contrite sins when was alive.
• If dreamt a dead got alive means he has a good situation specially if was happy.
• If dreamt an alive person as a dead , means that person is ignorant.
• If dreamt his deceased father with good clothes and happy means his affairs will arrange and will have some dignity.
• If dreamt his deceased wife means will get poor.
• If dreamt of his deceased son means rescue from sorrow.
• If a woman dreamt of his deceased son means a traveler will come back.
• If dreamt he revived or CPR ed a dead means he will guide someone to a pure belief.
• If dreamt a dead had good clothing means he has been a believer.
• If a dead had black clothes means he had been pagan. If a dead had dark blue or yellow clothes means an illness or a disaster.
• If dreamt was putting clothes on a dead, means there is a danger for him.
• If dreamt a dead was moaning he has been corrupt and immoral.
• If a dead had headache , he had been proud and selfish.
• If had eyeache he has looked to other's wives.
• If a dead had earache had been speaking behind the back of people.
• If had toothache had said rude words.
• If a dead had sideache , he had been with prostitutes.
• If a dead had backache he had had sex with prostitutes or had a bad behavior with his father.

I want to tell you a reason to know that 5 senses can't understand anything except by the soul,
Have you dreamt you were eating and drinking and had pleasure of that. He said yes. I said: have you dreamt laughing and crying, and strolling in the cities that haven't seen yet but you know the specialties. He said: yes dreamt very much. I said: Have you ever dreamt about your dead brother or father and know them like they are alive.
He said: yes too many times. I said: tell me which sense has received such things to see the dead and talking to them or crying and laughing. He said: I can’t say which one. Because the body is slept like a dead. I said: tell me when you wake up don’t you remember and report to the friends exactly, He said; yes and sometimes I see that before night in real life. I said; which sense keeps it to remember the dream after waking. He said; there is no way for sense. I said then you should know because senses are vein here that is the soul that God has put wisdom in it and it is a reason. He said; what I dream is like mirage one thinks it is water but when arrive at there is nothing. I said; how do you say it is like mirage and you ate sweets and pickles and were happy and sad he said; because what I dream when I arrive at it is nothing. I said: have you ever had sex in the dream and your hearts beat, have you ever had wet dream about a woman or man. You know him or don’t know He said many times said had you orgasm and when you woke up you were wet then this is not mirage.
He said: dreaming orgasm is just like the real life .I said this is my reason that soul. Knows everything although senses are dead and can’t see or hear of course you shouldn’t deny that soul in addition of the senses knowledge recognition in the waking life and after vanishing the senses has sex with them then it recognizes the things after going senses and now you understand that the itself is guiding the senses and is their governor and none of the senses can’t do anything without soul; if the soul goes a head body wasn’t get back and if soul gets back the body won’t go ahead with the soul the happiness comes and with it the ache is received if a sense is damaged the soul is remained but if the soul is damaged senses can work properly.

Smile sleeping and can't wake up

Hello, I've just woken up from the exact same thing. I've had it a lot of times in my life. And it's so real it's awful! Mostly it's me trying to wake up, and almost feeling like if I don't, I will DIE in my sleep. And every effort to wake up is monumental. My eyes won't open properly, and if they do, it's for a split second, then they roll and close again. And I can only see in one direction - the side view is all blurred and crap. My sister is usually in it, or my mom and dad(neither of whom are dead). I can't move my arms. I can't move anything that would hopefully spur me into waking up. In this one I've just come out of, I even tried to throw myself off my bed, so that landing on the floor would wake me up. That didn't work. I fell off onto the floor, but was still in the dream. The whole time, I panic. Eventually the telephone ringing woke me up, but I was so dizzy and thick-headed and EXHAUSTED that it took me ages to stumble out of bed to answer it.

I always kind of assumed it happened when a.) I was tense about waking up for something after that sleep(like an appointment), or b.) I'm sleeping because I'm tired(afternoon nap), but I think I should be doing something more constructive. Almost like this is punishing me for trying to be asleep!

I'd love to know what it is, because it really really REALLY upsets me for hours afterwards....

Hi,
You are right about the reasons for these sleep paralysis dreams, however there is absolutely no danger to you! Infact the dreams help you wake up from a bad sleeping positions.
You will notice that you're usually sleeping on your back when these dreams happen. If they happen while you're having a nap you might go tosleep sitting up and your head slouches forward.
Your dream is simply frightening you awake with the "IDEA" that you cant move. It is one of the tricks of the subconscious. Sometimes it has to use the big stick!
Cheers Wolfjk
