A few nights ago I had a dream where I was in a store. Everyone around me was talking about a man whose name sounded like Chewman. Later I was standing by the cashier and she was telling a customer that it was pronounced like Shoeman. Then she took a pencil and wrote his name down in cursive right in front of my face as if she was writing it down for me. The name was Chauman. When I left the store I remember thinking that the name should be pronounced like Shawman. My confusion now comes from the fact that I don't know anyone by that name nor by any of the pronounciations either. I didn't hear it anywhere. Could this be someone that I'm going to meet? I wouldn't think much of it, but I've been having dreams for the last 9 months that I feel have been messages also. Thank you to anyone who can help decipher this.

All of your dreams are symbolic representations of messages that the subconscious mind has meticulously scripted, cast and presented to you, in hopes that you will come to understand their meaning. Written clarification of what the dreaming mind is trying to present to the dreamer is very direct and powerful.
The only thing that comes to mind about the name phonetically pronounced shawman is that perhaps it is referring to a Buddhist sect, comprised of monks or priests. Being in the store, is symbolic of subjects or "things" that the subconscious mind has accumulated for presenting to you. The browsing through the store depicts the parusal (spelling) process and and finally the selection of the subject to be discussed in the dream...so it shows the processes of the mind. It is just considered architecture showing from where the dream emanates (it's origin) and the rest of the dream is the message. The fact that it was written right in front of your face, as you put it, is very telling. This occurs when previous attempts, to impart a message to you via your dreams has failed. The clarification is written out as if to say, Ok I have made several attempts to get this to you but you have not gotten the message, so I will just spell it out!! Do not fell bad about this, but you apparently still not GET IT! and so the subconscious mind [produced a character that even pronounces the word that contains the KEY to the meaning. I love this! I have seen it time and time again. After thinking of all possibilities of it's meaning try to word association or even try to think of the first thought that comes to mind after you pronounce the word the way that you were instructed. This usually sends a spark to the brain and sometimes and OH YEA I know what that means. If you still don't get the meaning and are interested, I will be happy to pass along a little exercise that has never failed (at least not for anyone that I know of who has tried it). It is best that you cajole the meaning from your own memory but if you wish I will tell you what has worked. Plan A, as many as seven times, and plan B if that fails. sailrmc |

Hi,
A chewman may imply for a man who quarrels, a shoeman may mean a partner, A showman may mean someone who likes to show himself...

This happens quite often in dreams! It is a waking dream. Essentially the subconscious creates a problem for you that puts your brain in gear! Cheers Wolfjk
