My sister passed away on the 19.1.07 she was 27 years old. I have very real dreams about her. I feel like it is her spirit visiting me in the dreams but I don't know if it is just my way of healing from her death. Does anyone know what these may mean? My sisters name is lynette.
1. I dreamt that lyne came right up to me and was 2 mm’s away from my face and I could see her watching me sleep, there was a light and it was like she as in black and white. I woke up and looked at her then she disappeared and the room was black again and I couldn’t see anything. 2. I dreamt that lyne was getting her helicopter license and in order to get her certificate she had to have an air show and do a demonstration. We all walked down to a jetty and the ocean was crystal blue and you could see every tiny grand of sand on the bottom of the ocean floor. At the end of the jetty there was a row of white stadium style chairs. As we were walking to the end of the jetty to sit and my partner dropped my six week old daughter into the water. It was a perfect spring day, no wind just magical. Then I woke up. 3. I dreamt that we were at the gold coast in a high rise apartment similar to one that lyne and I had stayed in once when we were at the gold coast. Lyne was dead and laying on the kitchen table a big long silver table. She had a white sheet across her and a tag on attached to her toe, when I touched her toe it was all warm and she felt soft. She stood up and then we walked over to a beige couch and we sat on the couch and she put her arm around me and put her forehead on mine and looked at me smiling and happy. We talked and laughed but I don’t know about anything we talked about. Then I woke up. 4. I dreamt of lyne’s friends (people I didn’t know) injecting their arms with drugs, then we were moving furniture into uncle's house, everyone was moving furniture in and I was in the main bedroom putting a quilt over the bed when lyne started burning the words "lyn loves you" then on the second line she wrote "leave this house". All in upper case letters. The writing was small and I kept lifting the quilt up to read it. 5. I dreamt lyne was on life support in a hospital and I was there with her and had been going there a lot but she never moved. Then one day I was there and she started to open her eyes and look around. She never said anything but I was talking to her. Then i woke up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Trish |

You are indeed suffering from the continuing symptoms of grief which indicates a close relationship with your sister and shock at her death. When relationships are close it can take considerable time to overcome grief but eventually, with the passing of time, the hurt at her loss will change to fond memories when you will be able to carry on your daily life in a more normal manner but, it can take time for the healing to be completed. You may subsequently find that you have got beyond the more hurtful part of her loss when the healing, although slow, will become more rapid as the days and months pass.
