Hi folks, am new here... My family has always been a big believer in the power of dreaming, and usually I can figure them out pretty well on my own, but I am now on round 2 of this one... I dream alot if I nap in the afternoons, very vivid and pretty startling. Sometimes at night, but usually the night one's are livable. This one pertains to my horses (I have 6 with a new addition of a foal on Easter monday )... It was a different horse last time, but same type of idea...

Dream started with my spouse, son and myself lunching with an old childhood neighbour of mine and her 2 grown children. Nothing special there. In my dream, we got home afterwards and my mare was shut into a very dark barn (which we don't have) within a stall made of metal panels. It was very dark in there, but I could see blood everywhere. I screamed for my spouse and my father while trying to collect a halter and lead rope to get her out to check her over. She was hard to catch, and kept turning away, very despondent look on her face, and beaten right up. I managed to finally get her calmed down enough to catch her and started to bring her out to look her over. Her rib cage was swollen from fluid build up, her face was beaten and swollen, and she was just in really bad shape. I couldn't find the source of the blood, and in my dream thought maybe someone had come onto my farm to beat her or maybe a predator like a cougar but found no evidence of that. I screamed for a phone to phone the vet and my son was running to grab that... Then my dream started to taper, and I really tried to hold on to it to have more to go on when I woke up... None of my horses in my conscious existance get hurt. I just don't know where this would come from, or what the meaning would be... ??? Anyone have any ideas?

In dream language a mare means a woman, if not one of your horses means a stranger woman who will be beaten and you screamed means a disaster.
