I had night terrors when I was young but they eventually went away. One of the dreams that I had that haunted me until I was about 12 years old was the same recurring dream over and over. I can't find anything about it on dream dictionaries. Please Help!
In the dream it is always nighttime. I would just be doing regular what-ever stuff but then I would walk into a room with a window and when I looked up at the window there would be a man standing there staring at me. He was really pale, almost like dead-body-ish, but alive. And not just a normal stare, like stare and then tilt your chin down a little, like a creepy stare. And that would be it. I couldn't walk past windows for the longest time in fear of just looking up and seeing him staring back at me. Even to this day I hate it when I catch someone looing at me, even my own mom, i just can't handle her staring at me My friend brought this dream up to me again and I actually started crying. What do ya'll think? Oh and i'm not afraid of dead bodies if that is the direction you are going, I love dissecting dead bodies =) |

It sounds as if it is connected to suppressed trauma from infancy; it appears that someone destroyed your self-confidence and left you feeling almost as if there is something wrong physically with you that attracts attention. I guess it leaves you feeling on-edge (apprehensive) almost all the time and wanting to escape into solitude. Those recurring dreams are almost certainly caused through fear that has been imprinted, not so much in your mind, but, rather, in your emotions and the emotions have an intelligence of their own and a profound memory. Your dreams are the symptoms of suppressed fear. As you continue to mature you may find their frequency will recede along with the fear.

Hi,
Dreams of immatured children is about their parentsand girls is about their mother. A half dead man means a semi ignorant man for your mother at that time.

Does the man you see resemble anyone you know that's passed?

Jennings answer sounds very accurate to my situation now. I have eye problems, and just recently had to have one of my eyes removed. When I was a in junior high i was sometimes called 'crazy eyes'. But none of that happened until I was around 10 years old, when the dreams stopped.
In response to the other two posts: I find both of my parents, especially my mom to be extremely ignorantbut it didnt get bad until my freshman year of high school. And I have been fortunate to never have had a loved one pass away. Last edited by uicmoonbear : 05-11-2008 at 01:09 AM. |

Having an eye removed does sound tragic; you have my commiserations. I do hope circumstances for you improve. Thank you for the feedback; it was considerate of you to provide it as it is always welcomed.
