Lately i have not been able to remember my dreams like i used to. Any dreams that I do remember they are too small of a segment from the dream that it is not worth getting anything from. And what I am dreaming about is totally normal, like actual events, which never happens to me and it is wierd. What do I do to try and remember them, even when I first wake up its like there is nothing that I remember?

DreamCurious...
The nature and content of what I remember in dreams has also changed over the years. I use to dream very symbolically and use to remember much detail. In my case, I believe my long work hours and lack of regular sleep contributes to my lack of ability to remember my dreams in full or to dream in rich textured stories. I also believe that I now deal with day to day situations more assertively and that I now rarely deny my emotions on matters. Perhaps dealing with situations more quickly relieves my mind's need to figure situations out while I sleep. Just a thought. Be well. |

Quote:
Dreams do their work while they are being dreamt. Once you wake up they have very little value. If you are a healthy, well adjusted person, it is normal not to remember dreams, or remember only bits and tail ends of dreams. Dreams are similar to everyday events in your life! In waking life you remember unusual or traumatic events more than ordinary everyday goings on. In sleep you remember dreams that are caused by physical illness or pain, and those caused by psychological upsets. There are very scant meanings to dreams! Sometimes they show aspects of your character, nightmares might indicate the cause, and dreams that are caused by psychological upsets are usually involved and drawn out affairs. So, count your lucky stars! Cheers Wolfjk

Fleeting dreams that are seldom remembered can be the sign that the dreamer has little to currently cause concern in his/her life.
