I need help understanding this!

Hello All,

New to this forum. I have been praying for a week solid for guidance and last night I think I might have gotten that guidance in the form of my dream. It was so very vivid. I was standing by a low rock wall with a river running down the other side. I can't remember what I was wearing but it was modest. I had a glass vile in my hands that had beautiful flowers in it and I distinctly heard a loud voice say "Whoever asks for the light shall receive the light, they asked and it shall be given to them times 3" and then the voice said "The Serpent comes" but I can't remember the rest. So if anyone out there can help with the dream I would appreciate it. I should also add after the voice said what it said about the light the vile in my hands plus my entire being filled up with golden white light. It was warm and very pleasant. I don't get it entirely though. I also do not get the reference to the serpent. In this case though it wasn't serpent that was used it was actually the word "basilisk". Thankyou in advance for any help. I truly appreciate it.

I am curious to know if you are in the throws of dealing with a serious illness?

If so and if the snake was white yet not really threatening, it denotes just that you are dealing with something that causes you much trouble and pain, something that you are aware of but have not given in to.... and in the context given would show that you are enlightened and will find peace within with regard to (what ever you determine the snake to represent). I make the clarification because the snake has so many connotations.

Another meaning is more general, but encompasses that which I have already explained... The snake in general depicts life's processes. I will use as a basis one of my favorite analysts, Tony Crisp. Paraphrasing, I will say that from the time that we are born , we see a flowering and movement of life and all of it's processes, then dying. This is much like a movie of a life cycle of a flower that is played in fast motion. Specifically, the snake represents the force or energy responsible for that movement or natural flow of life that we experience. The energy that I speak of is the internal drive that is present within you and all of us really. Each person has his or her own degree and "brand" if you will, of inner drive that enables him to put one foot in front of the other and go to forward. If the snake came from the other side (spiritual) and seemingly delivered your enlightenment then somehow it should have answered your plea for help.
Perhaps this is a description of where you answer comes from (the one that you have asked for). The fact that is was said three times shows that three aspects of you (your conscious mind...waking mind, your subconscious mind, dreaming mind, and finally your superconscious mind, spiritual self some call this the soul, is aware of what your answer is. This shows that you should know now, what to do, and that you (all the way to the very core) is now aware. Usually this is a summary dream, one that follows another dream that has specifically indicated what your answer is. The summary dream depicts how it is that you have come to know what you now know, and from where the knowledge emanated. It looks as if you are being told, that your inner self (the inner drive that is part of you that I have already described) just knows what to do...and that you have been enlightened (or given "back up" acknowledgment) that your decision is the right one. It is yours and you will not be judged in a negative way for following your flow of life.

It would have been nice to receive details of all the dreams and all of the details of each dream that you had that evening....AS Well as a basic background of what you are dealing with. Your dream only states what I have said and does not definitively say what situation it is addressing. This is typical, when the dreamer already knows about the situation. You know what this is about (in general) so the mind does not have to tell you. Again your dream is a confirming of something that you already feel and know about.

I didn't actually see a snake. The voice just said "The Basilisk comes", and that's where I woke up. When the light lit up the vile of flowers I was holding in my hand, the flowers were encased in a glass vile it flowed pretty much through me as well. It was pleasant and not alarming. However I don't know what it all means in the sense of giving light and receiving and also the Basilisk part. I think in part it might have been a religious dream however I didn't quite grasp what the voice was trying to tell me. So that's what I need help with most.

Also there wasn't a man in the river. The river was just simply and calmly flowing nearby and I didn't look into the river. I just know that it was there.

That is the only dream I had last night. It was lengthy but those parts I remember the most. I was in a village too and not any new ones it was like old Europe I suppose is all I can say and there wasn't anyone else around.

The night before that dream I had another dream about all the people that live here where I live, it's a tiny town where everyone knows everyone. Way out in the country. Anyhow everyone was like in this swimming hole type place and I remember that we were moving away from this town, not literally in real life but in the dream, and I was approached by my son's friend's sister and she said "Do you know of any reason why I can't cut or dye my hair gold", I looked at her hair and then said "No I don't see why not". That was strange for me. Then as I've said last night I had the dream I posted about.

I will tell you this. I've recently taken up meditation and prayer and turning to God. There for a long period I was studying Wicca and the like and it just didn't leave a good taste in my mouth so to speak. I did have a dream when i was about 15 years old of Jesus coming back and taking everyone but me. I think that was a warning and I honestly think he's been trying for years to get to me but I've always turned my back and crossed blind eyes to him. In one of my dreams one time I heard another voice say to me quite plainly "You are omnipresent". I think I know what that means. It's indeed interesting when religion plays a part in dreams and we are sat there to analyze it. Sometimes like the Bible it can be very hard to analyze.

Now that you have clarified thing a bit more...The dream is about resolution and healing. I did allude to illness of some sort...I could see that something was not quite right with you and now I see how this healing fits in as you have been reborn, or are in the process (in a manner of speaking). This rebirth is still in the process and the river represents the path of life that now continue to flow. Change is the order of the day and peace and harmony are now part of the payoff. As well there is a connection of some kind to your sons friends sister? Could it be that she has helped in introducing you to what has caused your transformation. In any case she is highly thought of by someone and she knows it.
The process of healing rings true all of the way to your core. The transformation is underway, so yes this is part of life's process that you have been drawn to and are finally coming close to realizing. The scenario of the towns people all at swiming hole and you moving represents your new change.
Congratulations on feeling the way that you do and having come down a long road t0 put you in the midst of this very positive change. You feel that is is the right thing for you...and this brings solace.

The reason why your dream had religious overtones was your desire or need to believe that there has to be a purpose to life and that we do not live in a vacuum. You sound as if you are a person who is either currently under sufference or have suffered in your ealier life and that you have also been brought up in a religious environment. The dream could be said to be the answer to your prayers (or more accurately the answer to your need to believe). The subconsonscious mind is a powerful tool that can create (in dream) anything you wish to believe. The dream has no other relevance.

Jennings I'm afraid not. Ie I wasn't brought up in a religious environment. Anything but. I did have a very very very bad childhood though. Lots of abuse and I shunned any religion for long long times because I believed that God did not love me enough to save me from that and so I did not love him. However I have only begun on this and it is weird and I'm just trying to have others help me find any explaination to it.

S, I don't know my son's friends sister. My son is only 13 and well his friends are the same age. I do know her name because it was said in my home a few times when my son's friend had been fighting with her. I could see her as crystal clear as day in my dream. Was just odd to me.

I think I'm having a transformation into something very real, not made up, and I can say that with honesty. It is something that is very relieving. I am enjoying it none the less and I can say now more than ever that I believe. I have utter faith into something that is much more than this world. We are merely players on a big stage and the challenge is life. That's what I believe now.

Iam fairly new to this thing...and I had a strange dream last night..So i hope i can ask it here..
So, I dreamt that I was with my grandparents(who are alive) and they were talking about my great grandmother(who is dead) and then there was this pot with worms in it..I could not see the worm..but somebody was saying that there is a worm in there..and all i could see was pinkish water...
Also, after that I saw that I was in a bathroom...and this guy I know..was peering from outside...and I was feeling sick...
I have no clue..what this dream was about..but i was in a bad mood cuz of it for the whole day...
can someone please tell me what this might mean??

You seem to have misinterpretted what was said. What I said was not intended to be taken categorically as only you know the circumstances of your life but its general thrust was close to the mark. In a manner of speaking you are in search of your own salvation and you are in the process of creating it; there is no magic involved. We create the world in which we live. Each to his (or her) own.
