The day I had this dream, I felt the urge to me a very specific store, the only one selling American flags front and center. I purchased one. An image of the flag I bought being turned upside and backwards appeared in my mind's eye. My mother told me that a flag turned upside is not a sign of disrespect, but symbolizes a nation under great distress. I heard someone say, "SO SHALL THIS NATION BECOME...NO LONGER SHALL AMERICA BE CALLED THE RICHEST AND THE MOST FREE, (at this point I was shown an image of a great crowd of happy smiling people, waving American flags) BUT A NATION OF GREAT DISTRESS..." and I saw a image where America streets were mostly empty because people were too sad to go outside anymore. There was only great sorrow I could feel, all unprepared Americans were so grieved, so depressed, no one felt like living anymore. This is the first time something like this has happened to me. Dreamed April 23rd, 2008 Wednesday I dreamed that a woman named Carolyn was hired at my workplace. I wondered how she had such a high management level when she doesn't work at all. She certainly didn't make it to her level on hard work. The company I worked for was very large organization. There was more management positions and the office was out of a mall or the building itself was like a mall like that Chase bank on Polaris. Business was slowing down but was still able to make the bottom line. The company President retired and left the running of the company to Carolyn. All it would've taken is a bit of hard work and the company could continue, but she didn't care about the company or the people like the very good President who retired, she just wanted to get paid and go home. She gathered us together for a meeting and I knew how it was going to turn out. She announced she was closing the company's doors for good. Everyone was out of a job. I went home to my apartment. I lay down to sleep in bed and before I did, I looked outside, and the sky was filled with so many stars. I heard a cold front was coming in. I saw ice form on the trees in a shimmering coating. Icicles hung from the branches. I looked up at the night sky and the clouds were also coated in ice, only the ice was lumpy, giving the clouds a crunchy texture, and ice icicles hung from them as well. Will the ice become too heavy and fall from the sky crushing me in my apartment? I asked this of my Dad, he said he knew about the clouds, but the clouds will not fall from the sky. The stars were gone. I wondered if I could I make it without a job long enough to find another? I trust in God to take care of me. I didn't feel upset or worried, but at peace. I felt confident that God would provide me a new job quickly, that God would not allow me to run out of money. In the dream, the sky was frozen because GOD had made the sky hard and ground hard which meant life would get very hard for everyone. He did this because the sins of the U.S were so great, so brazen, even though the U.S deserved destruction He would simply make life difficult, and it would keep getting difficult until America repents and stop sinning, but America had much pride to overcome, it would be a long time before Americans can develop the humility needed for repentance. The dream is like the story of the worthless shepherd verses the good shepherd. See Zechariah Chapter 11:15-17 15 Then the LORD said to me, "Take again the equipment of a foolish shepherd. 16 For I am going to raise up a shepherd over the land who will not care for the lost, or seek the young, or heal the injured, or feed the healthy, but will eat the meat of the choice sheep, tearing off their hoofs. 17 "Woe to the worthless shepherd, who deserts the flock! 15 Then the LORD said to me, "Take again the equipment of a foolish shepherd. 16 For I am going to raise up a shepherd over the land who will not care for the lost, or seek the young, or heal the injured, or feed the healthy, but will eat the meat of the choice sheep, tearing off their hoofs. 17 "Woe to the worthless shepherd, who deserts the flock! That same chapter tells how GOD divides the Union! The company I worked for in the dream represents the nation. The President that cared for all the employees and made sure to take care of the company symbolized God caring for the American people and watching over the prosperity of the country. Because Americans have abandoned God, God retired from watching over and protecting the country. He will raise up a strong (carolyn means strong) & worthless leader, who people will look to for leadership but will abandon the American people, and let the economy die. This leader will rise to power without his or her own efforts at all. Ice represents love growing cold. The ice also is a symbol of suspension of all movement, so that the country's economy will not move any more; or it ceases and exists only in a suspended state. God can melt it, but in the dream He was so angry at America, that it would be a very long, long time before the ice ever melts because Americans are so proud, it will be a long time before they repent. At least that it is how it is comming across for me. I hope I am wrong and we all become millionares tommorow... ![]()

RS,
If what you have written was in fact your dream then I have to say that it represents truly what it in your mind, meaning an extremely negative outlook. This makes me sad (although my feelings are inconsequential here). Your description of your dream does acknowledge that there are imperfections in our systems, and in the human race in general. These imperfections are inherent in virtually all races and cultures within our humanity. You are getting a dose of what it feels like to be on the receiving end of that which is not always equal. You are coming to a realization that life does not always deal everyone the same hand of cards. You are seeing that things are not fair...a true acknowledgment in our world...and yes to your acknowledging that if all were out to take advantage of the system then in reality any culture would crash and burn (so to speak). Still I hardly believe that a nation like ours or any nation for that matter should be judged...I believe that each of us are individually judged...(sorry, did not mean to stand on my own soap box here). Truly we are a nation of good people and like any group of people there are some that are not so good as well. I think that the part that disturbs me the most, is the possibility that you may actually feel the way that your dream shows that you feel (not to mention your words written after your dream)...I would surmise, that it might be a good thing to do to ask yourself what to do now that you have had these dreams. Ask youself what might have been their purpose?? Then be prepared to act...read on, if you will. It appears as if you are of a Christian background. I am nobody to quote the bible or preach, but I am in total awe of the way that Christ himself went about conveying his message of love. He simply led by example...if it was good enough for Him, then perhaps it would be good enough for you. If you feel anxious and angry then you might want to try this little exercise; Just before sleeping examine how you feel and come to an understanding that anger will not accomplish the changes that you hope to see occur in the world. Tell your subconscious (out loud) so that you can hear yourself say that you understand that your dreams show and reflect your own anger as to our human imperfections, (keep in mind that dreams most often feature our own imperfections and character flaws, that are often too painful to realize). Ask for dreams that may help you to resolve the anger and negative feeling that you feel, dreams that show you how to seek and gain peace from within. Ask for suggestions that may allow you to lead by example and show you how to make a positive difference in the world. Then when you get your answer...be ready to make a difference for the positive!! If this little exercise does not work on your initial attempt try it as many as eight times...You will get your answer! All of the best to you, sailrmc Last edited by sailrmc : 05-06-2008 at 05:28 PM. |

Your dream is a tad confusing. I was able to follow its thrust until you mentioned some fictitious character called 'God' then it seemed to be muddling and unclear. How nice it would be for you to see the world without the 'blinders' of religious dogma.
