Strange and disturbing dream

I was in a class of children with my daughter, but my daughter was my niece in the dream. We were sitting on a piano surrounded by other children in the park. There was a man destroying a car in front of the park, he was kicking the car, and using bolt cutters to destroy it. I was frightened and had the feeling myself and my daughter/niece were in danger. I had told someone there that I was scared and I was told not to worry about anything. About that time another man came up to the man destroying the car and was very angry because it was his car, he pulled out a gun and shot him, and turned the gun on the class in the park. I grabbed my niece/daughter and jumped under the piano and blacked out. When we came to there was no one there and it was dark. By this time the little girl with me was in fact my daughter. I grabbed her very frightened the gunman was going to shoot us and ran through some woods to find an apartment complex. My daughter and I ran into a couple with a child and I started to tell this couple the story. One of them.. I don't remember which one informed me we were dead and I needed to move on from this earth. The first thing I said was how was my mom taking it. The couple told me badly and I stated I am not ready to move on...then I woke up. I can not get this dream out of my head.

Can anyone give me any insight to what this might mean?

Another man is someone who has some power and dignity.
You were running away from him means you will overcome them.
Having a baby girl or a daughter with you means some blessing and happiness with you all the time.
You were dead means you will have a problem solved or will have a long time.
