Dream about deceased nephew

My nephew was killed in Iraq on 22 June 2005. We thought very highly of him. I had a dream that I was a young soldier again (I was in the Army 1972-1978). I was with several other young soldiers and we were getting ready to go some where. We were all sitting on an APC (amored personell carrrier) and all in battle dress. I was worried because I lost my ID card to get to wherever we were going. My nephew who had been a sgt and fire team leader was there and knew who I was even though I was 18 in this dream and even called me "uncle ricky". He was organizing this mission whatever it was. I told him I was missing my ID card. He printed up an ID card for me on some kind of portable ID card printer. He had a very somber Major in class A uniform verify it. The Major stood directly in front of me and looked directly at me while comparing me to the picture on the new ID card. I woke up at this point.

I feel the message through this dream may basically be that there is someone or something "major" you have felt the need to live up to or demonstrate who you are, but inadequate to do so, feeling as if you've lost your identity or reason for being. For that reason, even feeling a little unsure of what lies ahead in life for you.
