I need my dream analyzed.

My dream took place a few nights ago, i dont remember everything to a "T", but for the most part i got it.

I was at a friends house, and there were 2 other people in the room besides myself. I kept trying to get their attention, and they were blatantly ignoring me. then one of them said, i miss Eric.. then it hit me...

I was dead. i was a ghost in the room with 2 of my past friends. they couldnt hear me, they couldnt see me.. cause everyone i know is a smoker, i grabbed a lighter and spelled out my name with it, they noticed it, and they started talking to me, then i grabbed a pen and paper, but i couldnt write normally, i could only crudely scribble my words. It was quite frusturating.. and that is the end really, it immediately went into another dream it seemed, but i was alive in that one.

its kinda been bugging me for a few days.. if anyone has some insight to this, id love to hear it.

It seems like your friends don't notice you because they don't recognize you as being you. Do you feel like you haven't been yourself, like you have changed something significant about your mentality? That you are still able to spell your name with the lighter, even though you can't write properly with the pen and paper, seems to suggest that you feel like the old you is still there even though you can't do everything like you used to. Maybe your dream is telling you that you can be the person you were, but that you have to find a new way to communicate with yourslef and with the people who are close to you. Have you maybe lost touch with some of these people and your dream is telling you that you don't feel like you can really communicate with them anymore?

Hi Eric,
It is very difficult to give up smoking. You are worried about your health and think smoking might make it worse. The dream is trying to help you by frightening you with the passibility of death. I don't know whether you're trying to give up or given up smoking already. Your dream suggests that you are resolved about giving up and and your dream is helping you.
