I need your help interpreting the dream that I had this morning. My husband died about 24 years ago and I have had dreams about the funeral from time to time where I did not want to see his body. He had been dug up for another funeral, but I for the first time was not afraid to look at him, was amazed that he was in perfect condition and even admired the coloring of his lips. As I was leaving the room I noticed that he was sitting up along with another man in his casket. This did not scare me, as it usually would but made me seek out the funeral director to fix the problem. Let me know your thoughts.
Thank you, Seeker |

Good morning,
Your dream is not that uncommon for a surviving spouse to have. The overall significance shows that even though your husband has, long ago, left this earth, he remains a part of you. The dreams meaning is even more specific as it brings to consciousness acknowledgment of the fact, that you have dealt with your grief, you are well aware that he is no longer here physically, yet his memory will forever, be part of you. His memory lives on and inspires or affects your life certain ways even today. sailrmc |

This dream shows brings to consciousness the fact that you deceased husband still is part of your life. His memory affects you to this day (in ways) and you are OK with that.
This is a fairly common dream among survivors. Like it or not, he is part of the person that you have become. sailrmc |
