Strange vivid dream...

Last night I had an incredibly vivid, strange dream that I can’t seem to get out of my head…

I was staying in a cabin with my wife and kids, as well as my parents. I do not recognize the cabin or the lake from anyplace in real life. I had gone with a group of people…somewhere, maybe hiking. As we were returning, I noticed that the path was filled with venomous snakes, including coral and rattle snakes. As I was jumping and dodging the vipers, I heard someone mention that they had been driven up into the path by the rising waters.

When I made it back to the bridge that I had to taken to go on my little outing, bits of it were underwater. To get across, I had to swim across stretches. I noticed that the lake level was rising so quickly that I could actually see the waters rising.

When I returned to the cabin, everyone was in an uproar. They were rushing and packing in a furious attempt to evacuate before the flood waters reached the cabin. I asked my father what had happened and he told me that a meteorite had struck nearby, killing the crew of a barge. The unpiloted barge slammed into the dam, thereby preventing water from escaping. This explained the rapidly rising lake levels. At this point, I noticed that the air had a brown, hazy tinge and I noticed several explosions occurring in the sky. I took these to be additional meteor fragments.

I turned on the TV to see if there was any news coverage of this event, and saw that the entire Eastern seaboard of the US was in turmoil. Massive winds had shook Boston, toppling several skyscrapers. A massive tsunami had also swamped Florida. There were reports of other natural disasters coming in from all over the world.

The news anchors maintained that these were all isolated events. In my mind, I formed a theory that a truly massive meteor had struck somewhere on the other side of the earth. The tsunami and winds were caused by the shock wave, and the local meteor activity was just fallout from materials ejected from that massive strike on the other side of the globe.

At this point the dream just switched. Instead of experiencing events in the first person, I became a detached observer watching a riot occurring in Haiti (I have no connection whatsoever with Haiti….). I observed rebels storming government offices and taking the president at gunpoint. He was placed under house arrest, but knew that the rebels would kill him in the night as he slept. The president sadly declared (and these are his exact words from the dream), “Tonight, for the first night in 30 years, I will sleep with Humility.”

Mind you, I haven’t the foggiest idea who Haiti’s President really is.

What on earth was my mind thinking? Dream experts, have a go at this if you would!

A lake means a boss swimming in the lake means working for such a man like a lawyer or a doctor.
Meteor or a falling star means a scientist or a soldier losing dignity or perhaps in danger.
Flood means a big money on the way.
Running away means to overcome.
Water means money.
Television means a lier , deceiver person speaking about a big money .( tsunami) and dieing big people.

Hi,
Just curiously, have you watched any of the shows on the history channel, or discovery channel, regarding armegeddon or natural disasters that will end life as we know it?
Your dream sounds alot like some of those shows I've watched! They are pretty scary to think that it is possible!

I don't know how much you've been following the news recently, but the people of Haiti are rioting and they've kicked the Prime Minister out of the country because of extreme food shortages. Even if you didn't know about this before your dream, you proably got the key points subliminaly through general exposure. What the second part of the dream (after you turn on the television) seems to be saying is that you fear for the welfare of the entire world after an incident like this, that you are disturbed by the trend in current events in general and perhaps feel yourself and your family to be personally threatened by them. That it was your father who first told you about the incident that started the flood might also be significant - what are your attitudes toward your father and your relationship with him? what does he signify for you?
