I need help interpreting a dream

Hi! I registered here partly because I had this disturbing dream last night. When I woke up, I had a feeling it was significant so I needed to find out what it meant.

First off, a little background on me: I'm a 26 year old female and I'm currently serving in the US military. I am a pagan by religion (although I hate that word but it is the only word that describes my beliefs).

Anyway, onto the dream!

My dream started off with me attending a funeral of one of my friends from basic training and advanced individualized training. He is alive in real life as far as I know. I haven't spoken to him since graduation. It was never made clear on what he died of but I was a bit annoyed on how everyone just brushed off his death like it was no big deal. Then, his ghost appeared behind me and began to follow me everywhere. I asked him what he wanted and he said that he wanted people to remember him at least. So I went searching for an offering for him. I finally decided on a pair of pants and a few books and went to leave it at his graveside. He left me after that.

Then, one of my bosses came up to me and said I should be getting my new orders for my next duty station. I waited impatiently as I watched everyone else recieve theirs before getting mine. It said Ft. Asqa (which doesn't exist). I never heard of it but everyone else was congratulating me on a good assignment.

Anyway, I did research and found out this base was rather new and located in Montana. I make it to my new station with no problems. It is now my first day, I walk into the bay to notice that it was a special unit. All the soldiers were infantry but a winged infantry. All seemed to be highly buff and contained a pair of mechanical wings. While I absorbed this oddity, I felt someone put their hand on my shoulder and they told me that I had to go to the operating room to recieve my wings as well. I suddenly felt very nervous and unsure.

That is where my dream ended. Anyone have any idea what it could mean?

Although I'm not quite sure but his funeral means his wedding ceremoney and you will give an offering at his house.

Also metal wings mean an illness is on the way.

If dreamt flew from his house to an unknown house means there is a death danger.
If dreamt had feathers/wings unlike the birds means will get ill.******

Hello Crystalitegirl,
The subconscious mind often scripts, casts, an presents dreams from a parallel point of view (as opposed to a real point of view). What I am saying is that your mind is presenting you messages or acknowledgments and using someone else to portray the role when indeed it is about you.

With this mind, coupled with your background I see this as a statement that suggests your innermost feelings....that you feel that your service and duty to your country is worthy of recognition. You are actually bothered by the possibility that some people do not acknowledge the personal sacrifices that you make. The other suggestion is one that shows that you anticipate a move on your part. This move being discussed is not one of physical understanding but one of spirituality. It explores the notion that the experiences you are going through presently, are leading you to an "automatic" spiritual understanding??? It further insinuates that others in your midst automatically accept their spiritual "place" and now it is time for you to open up and try to get on board.
Perhaps you are worried about what others in your midst think about your beliefs and sense that in order to get where they are, to progress or to make that jump, you must change?
I do not mean this in a negative sense at all. I think that over all your mind is suggesting that it is time to get to a higher place (figuratively speaking) where you can explore the panoramic view...to take in the whole picture, the 360 degree open minded picture regarding your spiritual beliefs. If the dream really pulled some big emotion out of you, leaving you in a strange sense of mind, then now doubt it was spiritual.
Keep in mind that becoming spiritual does not mean necessarily mean organized religion (mechanical wings...based on dogma), but it means more of a state of mind of the awareness of all creation. Let me say that this awareness is so incredible and mind expanding. So, the invitation is out...let your mind wander, become open. Even while doing this you can remain true to your beliefs.
I will say that I respect both, your job and your choice to serve. Know that you make a difference in the world, know that the person that you are is one of importance.
I am quite sure that you wonder if your dream about the death of your friend is prognosticative. There is no what of knowing without the passing of time.
Either way the message that you have received here is a significant one. Keep in touch with your dreams...they are life changing!
