dream about crucifix in floor and finding bracelets

Last night I had a strange dream and would like to know what it means.
I was at a conference of some kind and at the conference, we could go into different rooms to see or discuss topics (can't remember what the conference was about or the topics). I know at the conference, there was a historian present (who was asian) and I went thru on of the rooms in which there was a very large, very old crucifix in the floor (the floor was not wood, more like cement), carved out of mettle with ancient looking symbols.

The floor was slanted, we were walking uphill. And we walked up the cross straddling it (1 leg on each side of the cross until we got to the top of it). In the room on the wall there was also a similarly carved hande rail. I touched the hand rail for support to walk up the cross. When I reached the end of the handrail, 3 bracelts came off of it.

By looking at the cross, I could not tell it's origin. I did not recognize the carvings. I just knew that it was old. But the bracelets that came off looked egyptian like arm cuffs. One of which was straight.

The dream was about trying to find the historian at the conference to show him the bracelets. And not being able to find him and being puzzled about what to do with the bracelets.

Any ideas about what this dream may mean? Or should I chalk it up to eating too late?
