I had a really weird dream last night. My family was enjoying the typical
things we do at our holiday get togethers, when without warning, the ho use was turned into a battle ground. These soldiers in red and black that acted like a violent gang took the place under seige, which is strange be cause there are no gangs that I know of near here, and union civil war s oldiers burst out from random places in the yard, we had a battle going o n both inside and outside the house. Nothing happened to any of us, I k new all I could do was stay calm and just not panick, I've actually been asked in real life if I ever get nervous about anything, so I just tried to k eep making sure that everyone was accounted for and in every possible hiding place in the house. It ended just as quick as it began, there were casualties all over the floors of the house and through the yard. We got the casualties out by making the appropriate phone calls and arranging for body bags and all of that stuff. Even though our nerves were kind of rattled we just went back to enjoying the holiday as if everything was t otally normal. It didn't 'scare' me but at the same time it kind of freaked me out because our house was built by a civil war veteran that was a u- nion soldier. It was so real it was like it actually happened, the la st 'gang soldier' I remember seeing in my dream he was right 'on top' of our hiding places, we didnt have time to get real far so we had to hide behind stuff I was thinking about killing him myself because something a bout the look in his face seemed like it represented evil and I knew that I was not going to loose a fight against evil though at the same time I knew that I did not want to have memories of harming somebody. Just as I w- as thinking if there were any other options this union soldier comes out of nowhere and stabs him with the sharp things they used to have stick ing out of guns back in the days I can't remember what they called I th ink it started with a b but I'm not an expert on weapons. This dream m akes no sense whatsoever. It was like all hell had broken loose on the property but when it was over it was like that was all done with and we were back to the same reality again. Even though I felt a tad shaken w hen I woke up at the same time it felt like strength inside me had been renewed. the gang soldiers behaved as if they were possessed or some thing even though I didn't want to get hurt/loose I wasn't afraid of them because underneath the evil in their eyes I saw this darkness/nothing I picked up on the vibe that they were only evil to keep from being 'weak.' then right when i realized that was when the union soldier came out of nowhere and finished the last evil gang member off. |

Your dream shows that you are in the midst of a revolution of sorts. So much of the way this interpreted depends upon your real life concerns or worries but the dream can just as easily be and most likely is, about internal strife.
If in reality there is a taking of sides and all out war (in a manner of speaking) when your family gets together for holidays then this dream is about this. It would be semi straight forward (in a parallel story presentation). If not then, discount what I have just said, in which case the house depicted in your dream is not likely to be an exact one as to the one you live in, in reality. If I have not lost you by now...consider that the house represents you, the person that you are, how you feel. The dream would be showing an internal battle that resides within and likely going through an autonomous stage in your life. In this case your mind is showing that there is revolution of sorts, depicting that you are in a struggle to change the way that you think or the way that you do things. There is a slight innuendo that you feel pressure to get up and get things going in your life. Your thoughts? sailrmc |

Well the dream features a civil war. Try to think what that could symbolise. Are there any problems at work? within the family? people copnsidered loyal fighting and turning against each other.
What about some conflict within yourself. Bitter feelings caused by situations which are not fitting together. ------------------------ Many dream analysers follow the recent traditions and tend to look for deep meanings within our own personality and deep feelings. They may link to eelings linked to our long term situation such as jobs, health and life in general. That approach is actually slightly flawed. Dreams are very much in the present. It is true that dreams capture some thoughts about life in general but its best to see how drams point to specific feelings and moods on a certain day and at a certain time. So really dreams are more about moods. These moods and feelings do link to long term situations and relationships but only in the sense that the dreams capture some recent situation or feeling where such long term factors have featured. That is an important point to remember. A dream is not about some general tendency to be bullied its rather about how you were bullied or nearly bullied yesterday. Its an important point to remember because part of the symbolism will be very much related to that specific situation. So if the dream is about you been bullied its about how you were bullied yesterday and how you have reacted or changed your behavior in relation to this. those were very interesting replies, the figurative revolution was very accur-
ate, I'd had similar vibes about the dream myself. Everyone usually gets alo ng great at our family get togethers and stuff, but in a lot of ways a few of us really have been going through transitions such as getting ready to start new phases of our lives, and we also want to leave anything negative or pa- rts of our own lives that we really don't want anymore in the past. unclesir, that was kind of weird what you said about the bullying, because even tho- ugh there hadn't been any bullying going on at the get together and everyo- ne had gotten along great, I had a few co-workers over the course of the f- ew days surrounding the dream do things like make rude comments about my hair that particular day even though nothing was wrong with it and giggle, t- hen they'd called to me from around corners and loudly asked questions abo- ut my personal life. I don't think the one is intentionally bullying but being d- ominated by the bully and hoodwinked into going along with it and maybe do esn't realize that how she talks to others is bullying sometimes because the bully denies that she's not being controlling every time anyone confronts her about it in front of her. I think that the last union soldier winning at the e- nd represented relief that so many new phases and transitions are going on, and that we put up a fight with the gang even though we knew we didn't stand a chance literally fighting them we still did what we could to protect everybody meant that we'd all came too far on things to give in and backs- lide. |

the dream kind of reminded me of that song 'I Won't Back Down.'
