My dream began with my grandfather and I eating breakfast out on chairs on the front lawn. It was at our house on Cape Cod in the height of summer. Everything blooming, green and bright. My grandfather and I had the habit of talking about the news after church over breakfast. We did this only occasionally throughout the summer. Last summer, when he was alive, I don't think we ate outside much at all. We used to talk about the paper. The news was recent, primaries, economic downturn, etc. Always up for chat, he seemed as well-versed as ever in finance, politics and world news. There came a point in the dream, where I could not help myself and asked, "How's it being back?" He smiled. He only smiles like this at little kids. I have many other cousins. He does this most to the young ones that do not get much out of language, or could not understand. Smiling like this at a 19-year-old college student would be out of the norm, but seemed to fit. He was a quiet, kind man whose sole purpose in life was supporting his family.

howdy,
well, you mention that you used to have afternoon conversations with your grandfather after church? my question is: did you both attend church, and have you both (you and grandpa) accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour, who bears the punishment for the sins of all who believe in Him? if yes: pray in Jesus' name for the Holy Spirit to fill your mind as you dream, that you will be protected from the enemy and will be filled with God's Holy presence. if no: dear friend, you are being deceived. the man in your dream is definately, definately not your grandfather. from my experience, i do not believe dreams are simply random. i believe dreams are very much directed/dictated, and we need to pray for protection as we sleep. if you have not received Jesus Christ into your heart, then the devil (he's real too) is trying to trick you into thinking your grandfather is trying to communicate with you. the Bible says that satan will disguise himself as an "angel of light", and that he roams around like a "roaring lion" seeking to destroy. satan will probably continue to use the image of your grandfather to gain your trust and "prove" he's who you think he is, even using events that happened in your life as "fact". Don't fall into his trap. If i was to "stealthily" follow you with a camera for 2 weeks, then disguise myself as your best friend, and tell you some of the things you did the last 2 weeks, would that be enough fact to proove i am your best friend? negative. i've just proved i've been following you, that's all. (ps. i'm not following you Pray thanks to Jesus Christ for dying on the cross and bearing the punishment for every sin you have ever committed and will ever commit (sin separates us from God), and ask Him to come into your heart and make you new. Ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit always (including when you sleep) and trust fully in Him! Pray that you will bear the full armor of God each day and night. The Lord loves us all so very dearly, we need to call out to Jesus and He will rescue us! I hope and pray this helps you along your journey in life, and please feel free to email me any time! In Christ, -Bryan R.G. Mewhiney witheredfigtree[at]gmail[dot]com |
