dream about rape

My dream started out with me running into a friend of mine at a store. We talked for a minute and then she showed me a picture. The picture was of her, her boyfriend, and my ex. I had asked her what the story was behind the picture but I didnt hear it in the dream.

Then, I ended up in a hospital bed and apparently my ex did too because there was something wrong with his foot. That night in the hospital he came to my room and sat in the chair next to my bed. In the dream I was half asleep. He was just sitting there holding me.

Then the next morning, Im walking through a hallway in the hospital and there are two nurses talking and they both turn and look at me. One of them says, "She is one of the girls that were raped last night" I was confused and so they told me that a bunch of young girls in the hospital had been raped that night.

Well, as I was checking myself out of the hospital I couldnt help but wonder if my ex had really raped me after i dosed off to sleep. I was walking to my car talking on the phone because I was trying to get up with my ex because we had plans to meet after we got out of the hospital. As soon as I got into the car I woke up from the dream.

well maybe the dream is by way of comparison. Your ex is in the same room as your freind ands her bf. Have you just been comparing what he did and how he behaved and maybe been influenced in judging his actions. Its the dream minds way of saying "He was being really abusive"

I havent seen or spoken to my ex in about a year and a few months. he is with someone else now...and in reality he is far from being a rapist or pushy....

You should not take dreams literally. The dream storiline closely follows how you feel in the sleep. Many dreams are purely for entertainment or diversion.

Here you were feeling ill in your sleep and needed comforting. However dreams have a contrary nature and very often you will be comforted by the person you least expect. There is a good reason for it! Finally dreams dothe waking up near the morning, but do it gradually with surprises and strange story lines. "She is one of the girls that were raped last night" This is the sort of statment that grabs your attention and wafts you towards waking! From here on the dream is a waking dream.
Whatever you imagine about your ex boyfriend or the feelings between him and you, the dream uses to to divert you from the problems you had with your leg in this sleep.

You said you have not seen your ex in over a year. Okay...well that certainly helps in the interpretation. I am wondering if perhaps you feel he slighted you in some way...perhaps by being interested in another person while you two were dating. Rape in this dream seems to indicate an intrusion of some kind on his behalf....an injury to you in some way. Do you believe that he plays head games and that he may be continuing to do so? It is interesting that the picture that your friend had was of her, her boyfriend and your ex...but you were not in it. Also interesting to note that you were walking to your car thinking that he could have raped you, yet you were still willing to meet up with him. Was he emotionally available to you? While you two were together, did you overlook things in the relationship as to not cause fights? If so...then perhaps you are having some hesitation in a possible new relationship because of this treatment. I may be way off...but if not, I hope this helps some. Be well.
