Lion as a Pet

dear dream doctor,

i had a dream last night that i had a pet lion. We had a gathering at my house with people that i didnt know. this one person wanted to know what i had behind a curtain and i told him not to look because i had a lion there. the person looked and the lion got furious and tore out his chain. i got scared and closed the room where my twins were sleeping, and the lion came toward me and bit my arm. i looked at my arm and a big chunk was gone, i could see my flesh and bone. Then after my dad put the lion away and that's how my dream ended. What does this mean? is this a bad omen?

Hi,
If something happens in your sleep that causes pain or discomfort, your subconscious introduces some element of danger into your dream. In this case the lion represented a waking threat.
The reason for the dream was that you lay on your arm too long and it started to hurt. The lion woke you up and made you move your arm! No other meaning! No bad omen either! The lion gave you a helping hand in your dream.

This is a great dream. I think it's telling you that in your life right now there is a large issue (perhaps related to you being a strongly independent person) that you think you've mastered and have safely hidden away, but it won't take much provocation (simply bringing up the subject and looking at it) to risk it breaking free and running amok in your life. You recognize it as a danger to yourself and your twins and you want protection (closing the door to it) but in doing so this issue is able to take a bite out of you. It compromises your strength and you aren't able to subdue it alone. The good news is that "Dad" is there to tame the lion! I think the creator (Dad) is telling you that he'll protect you and your kids from whatever this issue happens to be. Any of this fit?
