Dream with babies-what does it mean?

Last Friday I had this vivid dream and I still wonder what it may mean. I had a baby boy in my arms, probably 6-9 months old, but it wasn't mine. His mum had given him to me to watch over him for a few hours. I was holding him and playing with him when suddenly, when I was about to go down a stairwell, I slipped and the baby fell from my arms. I saw him going down all the stairs and they were many. And I thought, Oh my God, he must be dead, and what am I going to say to his mum?
Then, there was like time had passed in the dream and I saw the baby, it was OK, playing, but she was a girl, not a boy, with curly, brown hair...
What does that mean? Thank you!

If one dreamt had a daughter or a baby girl means he will be health and will have a family happiness or his wife will deliver a baby boy.
If dreamt he had a son or a baby boy means an illness or a sorrow is on the way or his wife will give a baby girl.
If one dreamt he had a foundling child means he will have an unexpected benefit.

So, there will be a sorrow or an illness but it will vanish and will turn to a happiness soon.

sounds good. maybe the baby falling down the steps means the illness or disease "falling away", perhaps in a series of "steps"?

Another question: Is there a time frame within which the meaning of the dream comes true?
In other words,is this change form sorrow to happiness supposed to happen in a few days, weeks or even months?

Dreams at noon or exactly at midnight( In the summer time 13 at noon and 1 midnight else at 12)in the same day if past a few minutes, a few days later. Dreams at 10-11 in the morning in 15-30 days later. Also dreams at 3-4 in the evening in 1-2 months .Dreams in the sunset mostly are not truthful and are messed, they have no interpretations, Dreams at 4-5 in the morning in a few days to 2 months some dreams in the holy books( Josef dream of kneeling the sun and the moon and 11 stars)was interpreted after 20 years and other dreams of the Pharaoh's prisoners interpreted in the same day and after 7 years. Dream of Pharaoh about the 7 thin cows and 7 fat cows interpreted from the next year to 14 years.
