maggots in the bathwater?

i had a dream that my daughter and i were taking a bath in a huge tub. we were together because the tub was filled with clean water and could be filled only once, so we had to bathe together to be clean.

after we washed, we were ready to get up and out, when i looked and saw that there were hundreds of tiny maggots in the water, and all over us. we started frantically splashing and washing them away, trying to get them off of us. we jumped out of the water and grabbed towels to dry off, and as we rubbed, alot of the maggots fell onto the floor around us. soon we were maggot free and i noticed that there weren't that many maggots left, most of them had washed down the drain with the water, and the rest were struggling to live on the floor.

i got angry and started to stomp at them, but every time i tried to kill one, it sprouted tiny little legs and started to run away from "death" (don't ask me how i know this but i know it).

for some odd reason, the maggots were in such great detail, as was the bathroom, but my daughter and i weren't detailed at all. i don't recall anything about us other than i saw my daughter's head above the tub water, but i saw the maggots so clearly i even saw the tiny sections of their skin and the heads.

the dream was in vivid color, and the bathroom was blue, the tub very clean and white, the water crystal clear *until the maggots appeared* and the floor was concrete.

any ideas?

Hi Sweetdreamer,
I think your dream indicates that you were feeling dizzy in your sleep. I do't know the reason for it, however a low pillow or something you eaten or drunk before bedtime could have caused the dream.

I would put maggots into the general classification of bugs. And it may sound a little cheesey but dreaming of bugs could also translate to "what is bugging you?". Has there been some sort of situation lately that you wanted to get away from? Something that you didn't want sticking to you, so to speak and wanted to disassociate yourself from? The water is clean and calm in the bathtub before the maggots show up, indicating a calm emotional state until the bugs show up! White indicates purity. Maybe this is a situation with your child that you are feeling bugged about?

thanks so much...i am currently about to leave the only job i really enjoyed because i am being laid off...and i have been struggling with this for a while. since you said this, maybe my daughter bathing with me represents the potential effects that being laid off can have on her (since she had maggots on her too)? of course if i don't work, my family doesn't eat (as the saying goes).

but i am praying over working for myself, so maybe this is why i stomp the maggots *aka ordinary people*
