Default The Most Vivid Dream I've Ever Had...

..could someone help me interpret what it means? I don't really know where to begin...

And as a disclaimer, I wasn't 'on' anything when I had this dream

The dream:

I'm arriving at my martial arts class (I've taken them for 9 years and the subject of martial arts comes up frequently in my dreams) and I notice that everyone is standing outside. When I get to the door, we decide to go in, but something happens and I pass out. I wake up and leave, and suddenly I'm in this hillside in the woods, looking up at a cloudy sky. In the clouds there is a single beam of light, shaped like a lightning bolt, that leads to a smokey pillar of a strange color. This pillar acts as a bridge from the sky to the ground. On the ground is a path (that I could just see, despite the great distance away; it had no set color of other features) leading to a faraway place, perhaps there was a structure in the distance.

I am also with a childhood friend of mine. We decide to get up and leave, for whatever reason. We go down the opposite side of the hill, away from the path. About 50 feet down the hill is a path. We take it going the direction of the "faraway place" (who would go towards the scary clouds?) After walking a short while, a noise catches my ear, and I look up over the hill to see a massive dragon. I can only see his upper body: arms, neck and head. It seems distracted by something, while at the same time looking right at me. I keep walking, staring at the dragon, and it seemingly staring at me, while being distracted at the same time. I don't know if my friend ever notices, and I don't say anything.

The woods seem to meld into a kind of structure, like a squared tunnel. We can go left, which leads to more woods, or right, where we see a door. We choose the door, and after entering, discover we're in a massive courtyard. There are a handful of people walking, but they pay no attention to us. The courtyard is set up like a hedge-maze, almost, but more designed symmetrically and intricate for aesthetics rather than something designed for people to become lost in. We walk a short ways (against the way other people are going, I should add) We come across a short woman, who gives us a handful of tiny flowers.

This is where imagination is key, literally. She tells us that these flowers will help us on our journey. To use them, bite off a petal (they're yellow with various amounts of petals, and it was like chewing aluminum foil) and then look at something, and imagine what you want it to be, and it will change. The first thing my friend says he's going to change is me. And he tries it. According to him it worked. But I still am me. Perhaps it's based on appearance only, or maybe it creates a whole different dimension based on that thought (more likely the latter, considering what comes later).

After leaving the courtyard the same way we went in, I'm immediately assaulted by a swordsman wielding a large, red sword. I bite one of the petals off, but in my panic, can't make it change. Holding his sword over head in an under hand grip, he stabs straight down and pierces my right thigh, but only barely. In a rage, I attack the swordsman and disarm him, and then both the man and the sword disappear. Looking back down the path we originally came, I notice that the hill is gone, and that there is a building off to the left (this side was on the right when we were walking down, with the hill on the left. I was possibly distracted by the dragon that I didn't see the building on the right. That still doesn't explain why the hill was gone though.

I walk down the path once more to explore the building (my friend has seemingly disappeared, now) and upon entering a doorway, I discover a kind of kitchen. It's very old, like you'd imagine one to be in a castle (think the Pale Man's room in Pan's Labyrinth). After entering, I turn around and see a young impish boy standing behind me.

"Boy, this sure is gonna suck," he says. I jump back and suddenly a giant hand bursts through the door, floating and flexing it's fingers. It seems to have extra large, somewhat spiked knuckles. I run around the other side of the table to put something between us. The table is bare, with the exception of a plate that contains a face. There is also a stove, where a small figure appears to be working, but it shows no threat to me. Nothing tells me this, but I assume that this face controls the hand. And while dodging the hand between tables, I bite off a flower petal and imagine the face is actually a plate of cookies. It works after a few seconds, and the hand stops. The figure also stops, having turned into a mannequin-like object. There is also no sign of the imp boy. My friend is suddenly back, and we enjoy our cookies, which turned out to be more like muffins.

After that, I woke up.

This dream was far more vivid and detailed than any dream I've had. There were many colors, some I couldn't name. The woods were rather dead and barren, while the kitchen seemed much more lively, but still slightly dull, like it was lit by candlelight. The courtyard looked as if it could stretch on forever, and the plants there were amazingly green. There seemed to be a very light haze about the place too. Who knows what it could mean? I was disappointed to wake up as I was very curious to see what would happen next. Ah well, maybe tonight it will continue later on.

Thanks to anyone who helps me out with this
