Post Well it did start off as a nightmare...

Okay, in this dream I for some odd reason was moving into a business/house with a few members of my extended family. My cousin (he and I are in a more brother-sister relationship though) drug me upstairs to explore the place seeing as it was pretty big. There were three floors and the building was in the middle of the industrial part of a large city somewhere.

Well anyway we found a secret fourth floor and made our way up, went down a hall, and ended up in a room full of toys. My cousin was looking directly behind me with that "Oh Crap" kind of look that people get in scary movies.

(Mind you that I'm very afraid of clowns, so much so that even though I'm eighteen and should know better by now, if you put me in a room with one I would probably die of shock or anxeity.)

So take a guess at what was behind me in this dream... a clown.

So as a normal reaction I get this rush of adreniline and go to hide behind a conveniently placed door to nowhere. The clown finds me though and I could have sworn my heart was going to explode, for one I wasn't breathing, and secondly I was scared out of my mind.

(Typical nightmare yes? The thing you are most afraid of comes to get you and is going to kill you in some awful way. Of course the dream tends to run all TOO slowly at the parts that are unwanted.)

Well then many things happened in a very small amount of time. I just know the the conclusive scene was the clown was in gory shreds and there was a girl in punk clothing with choppy lavender butch hair staring over her shoulder at me while my cousin took in the whole thing with wide eyes.

"You could have died," was what she said. Then I was very out of character and jumped up and hugged her. I could see myself, and I looked like someone much prettier than I am, though I knew it was me. I asked the girl her name and she told me it was Alice. She then just disappeared out the window that she had burst through and I told my cousin not to say anything about her because I wanted her to come back.

I'm a little confused, I've never seen a girl that looked like that in my life and it was just a strange dream in general. I still somehow knew she saved my life.

Hello twistauthor....

I believe your dream is trying to tell you that you are about to face and overcome a personal obstacle in your life. The fact that you are moving into a new house...to me....represents a shift in your views or mental state. The secret floor is something that is buried deep inside you. The clown represents that thing you are afraid to face. The girl with lavender hair is another side of you that will face and overcome this fear. The reason why you saw yourself as prettier is because it is reflecting the inner you after overcoming this fear/experience. My gut is telling me that you may have a fear of getting close to others due to getting injured (I base this on what you said about not being in character and hugging this girl). "You could have died" indicates to me that you have been allowing yourself to grow more distant from people and if you continue like this...that the part of you that loves and wants to feel love will die off. So....I guess it is time to work on healing those wounds. I wish you the best as you do so.
