I've had this same dream repeated before, over the course of several years. I had it again recently, and I would like to know if anyone could interpret it for me.
In the dream, it feels like I'm still lying awake. I've fallen asleep but it feels like I was still staring into the darkness of my bedroom. I was watching the ceiling and something starts to take form in the darkness. It became a large floating face covering above me. It looks like a shade of dark colours floating around to make out the features. The eyes and mouth are hollow and black. It looks like it's screaming and slowly floating towards me. In the dream, I couldn't move. I got an empty, horrified feeling from watching it. My body was paralyzed and I couldn't move. I ended up screaming in the dream, and waking up my fiancé because I actually started to yell. How would someone interpret this? |

I will give it a shot. The dream is very realistic...as you said...you thought you were still awake...but you were not. It indicates to me that you are not observing reality correctly. The face with dark shadowy eyes and mouth may indicate not being able to see clearly or talk about a certain subject to someone. The face represents your current state of being on a matter. It looks like it is screaming. You actually scream yourself awake. Ask yourself what, over the past few years, are you not speaking up about? What is it that are you mistaking for reality? I hope this helps or clarity to the situation. Be well.
