I was riding along a stretch of highway with my Dad (he was driving). This area is one that I am familiar with because I grew up here. However, I saw three houses that had been torn down because of a threatened landslide form the hillside above. We were pulling out of my aunt's driveway, but it had become so steep because the road department had recontructed the highway. The driveway was a muddy mess and I thought for sure that we would topple over end for end, but Dad is a skillful driver. We turned right onto the highway which was supposed to have been rebuilt, but was a muddy mess with no guardrails and was dangerous. On the left were waterfalls that were running down from the hillside. Then a tanker truck full of gasoline almost hit us. My Dad took it all in stride, but I became very angry. I told him that I was going to write our elected officials and show them photos of the highway because it had become worse instead of better. Then I made a list of what was wrong with the new highway. 1. no pavement, only mud. 2. no guardrails 3. narrow lanes.

Hi Smitty,
Have you had a rough patch in life lately? Especially in an area that was once comfortable for you? (perhaps a job change, change in marital status or relationship, illness, etc.) The presence of your dad may mean that he's there for you to help you through it all. I hope this helps. Good luck

Hi BrightDreamer,
I think that you did help. This dream reminds me that even though things change and the road can get rough it is always important to have someone there for support and to be there for support as well when needed. Smitty |
