ex haunting my dreams...

----For about two years now my exgirlfriend and I have been broken up and it took me awhile to get through but i finally have overcome it, but she still is in almost all of the dreams i have! Last night was the most recent and there were actually two separate dreams, which she was in one of. These dreams have taken a lot of wear on me, but last night was definitely the worst.

The first dream: Its a bit blurry but i remember i was running in a mall and i saw her going up the esclater with her current boyfriend. I know shes looking at me but i try to make her think i dont see her. Now all this time that Im running i keep on slipping and falling over and over again. Then i remember seeing her trip once and then i finally couldnt see her anymore and the dream was over.


----The setup for this second one is that i was talking to this younger girl awhile back and long story short i ended it ubrubtly because the age and maturity difference was too big for me. It didnt really end on the best of terms.

The second dream: This one it started where me and a couple of buddys go to her house all dressed up in shirt and tie for some type of party. When we get in there shes sitting with her family(she has a big family with lots of brothers) and she seemed to be shocked to see me there and i made eye cotact and began to stutter something repeatedly(i think it was "hi" or "hello"). I felt really embarrased and her brothers started mocking me. It gets kind of blurry after that but i know that it was a big party with alot of people around and then all of a sudden i was taking off my dress clothes..i wasnt naked but i think i was in my boxers. soon after my brother was there and he told me he was taking me home so i went and grabbed my clothes and left. the dream ended with me seeing all the faces of the girls family imitating and mocking me for stuttering.


thats about it soo please help me figure this out...

You obviously still care deeply for your ex girlfriend...and that is why she keeps showing up in your dreams. I imagine she has hurt you greatly....and although deep inside you struggle about what she did to you, you are trying to move on and display strength. Her going up in an escalator indicates her ability to move on...past the relationship....with only slight regret about the relationship ending. In the dream you are trying to run only to slip and fall repeatedly indicates to me that you have had a hard time overcoming this relationship. Please note however....you were not walking...but trying to run. To me, this shows that you want to move on. The second dream I believe is a generalized fear of being hurt again. For whatever reason...you now feel vulnerable in relationships and open to criticism. Please remember...that most of us have had failed relationships....or just relationships that don't work out as we would have wanted them to. No shame in this dear....just stop beating yourself up over it...and know that someone is out there that will like you for who you are...flaws and all Be well.
